I'd like to inject some life into this group and hopefully help it grow, so I thought I'd kick-start some discussion with a relatively generic question: what is (or what would you consider to be) interstitial? The Interstitial Arts Foundation website has some amazing essays on the topic (one of my favorites is Jeff Vandermeer's), so if you're looking for something to get your thoughts moving, you really can't go wrong there as a starting point.
Taking that idea of "what is interstitial" further, which books would you consider interstitial? It need not be limited to works of fiction, although I *think* non-fiction "interstitial" work is usually classified as "interdisciplinary." :)
