That one's a bit tougher since the scene changes quite a bit- let me check some resources and I'll get back to you

It works a life-and-death struggle on the frozen Artic wilderness.

Penny | 99 comments I want to know if this one fits the task Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, they spent a long time outside, forest/woods. In all honesty I don't know if all use it for this task, but I'm trying to fit all of the HP books and what to know all of the possibilities.

Coralie What about Island of the Blue Dolphins? I picked it up to read for summer's 'under the sea', then thought, 'that sounds like wilderness' and put it down again.

I think this should be restricted to a physical place- that does not seem to be the case in this book- If you have another reference, I'll consider it, but for now, it doesn't work

Cindy AL (cangelmd) | 645 comments How about Tongues of Serpents: A Novel of Temeraire?
I've read about a third, because I have to get it back to the library by the end of next week. It takes place in the outback of a fictional Australia at the time of the Napoleonic wars. Sydney is a small settlement of convicts, and the characters soon leave Sydney to chase thieves and smugglers in the wilderness.

Trying again with more clarification! :) Actually, it's about this family's struggle to survive after civilazation breaks down after this EMP weapon is used.

Not all post-apocalyptic stories would fit this task.
One Second After is set in a small North Carolina town after a EMP knocks out technology with no mention of the natural setting required for this task.

I'm guessing it would work since he supposedly goes all over Australia and most of Australia is wilderness and the descriptions sounds like he does a lot of roughing it.

Would it be cool if I went ahead and read the book, then let you know what percentage of the book is about their quest, and you can make the call? If it doesn't end up working, I'll use the book somewhere else...
