Lisbeth Salander from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson.

She's smart as hell, sexy, badass, and she knows what she wants. She can be cruel, but caring as well. She's a character I would love to be... or at least hang out with.

I would be Max from Maximum Ride. :) She reminds me a lot of myself, lots of sarcasm, protects her friends, doesn't really like having voices in her head... haha, just kidding on the last one. :)

Voices in the head are a good thing when you want to be a writer, but you also get the voices-in-the-head syndrome when you have kids. "Mom, I want some milk." "Mom, can I have a treat?" "Mom, can I go outside?"

HAHAHAHA!!!! I think my mom has that. We will be at her work and i will be doing homework and she will look over at me and ask me if i said anything. I keep telling her to stop talking to those voices. She just doesn't listen very well. :)

Hmmm, this is a tough question a couple of months ago I would have said Harry Dresden, but Jim Butcher has been kind of mean to him lately. So, I guess I would have to say Adam Hauptman from Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series. I like how she handles pack magic, especially when it comes to the alphas. Adam has a proper respect for that power and doesn't abuse it. I've always liked werewolves and he is one of the coolest I've read.

So hard to say because as I read books I love, I could see myself as that character. If I had to pick one, I think it would be Luce in Fallen. I adore that book and character!

Fallen by which author? I hadn't read the book you referred to so I went to add it to my to-read list. Lo and behold, I found 10 books by that title before I finally gave up looking through the list!

Fallen by Lauren Kate! If you haven't read it you must. It's awesome. Although it seems to be that some people fall in the love it or hate it category. I first read it because it has a gorgeous cover (yes I'm a little shallow...lol) but the story is amazing. Let me know what you think of it when you read it.

My oldest daughter Makani memorizes every bit of information she reads and can spit it back out verbatim.

We homeschool our kids, and I was giving a science lesson on honey bees. I cut out a lot of information for the sake of the younger kids. Every five minutes, Makani had her hand in the air to remind me about something in the book that I hadn't said or to give her sisters a "pop quiz." Oh my gosh, I thought, she's Hermione!

I don't think she was showing off or anything. She was just so excited about the topic as science is her favorite subject.

Hmmmm....I'd like to be Max from the Maximum Ride series, because she is just amazing. And I'd like to be able to fly :) Or I'd like to be Jax, form my own novel, but that doesn't count. I think I resemble Astrid from Gone, for many reasons (including being a blonde)

My favorite character is Mercy from Patricia Brigg's Moon Called series. tough, smart, stubborn, and always gets back on her feet even when life puts her down hard. Running around as a coyote now and then might be fun too.

I always imagine myself in epic stories - real apocalyptic stuff, fighting monsters and so on. But then I think about how absolutely horrid it would be, even if I romanticise it like crazy. I might be more like Jo in 'Little Women' or something....

Most of my friends tell me I would be Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and I don't disagree. But I'm thinking more along the lines of Sunny Baudelaire in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

I haven't read the Lemony Snicket books, but I did love the movie.

It has been on my to read list for a long time. I've been wanting to get it as an audiobook. I love having audiobooks in the car for my ride to work, but this one, I'd like to put in the van to share with my kids.

I've looked for them at our library several times, but the audiobook selection starts at book 4. Strange thing is that I always order books I want rather than pick them off the shelf. That way, they can bring them over from any of the 20 or so libraries in the area. But for some reason, I have never done that with the Series of Unfortunate Events books.

We're traveling for New Year's. A 3-hour trip to visit the inlaws. That may be the perfect time to have a book on tape.

We gave the books away because I couldn't stand them. The neighbor kids loved them, But I could only read so many "you probably should stop reading now"'s & "You should close the book" 's before I said. FINE!

It was supposed to be funny, you know, if you want a happy story, find another book because this tale has only sad stories...and all that, but I found it irritating.

I did like the movie however, and the hands that were dropped on the floor by the bad guy were made by my cousin who does special effects. :)

Found the "drop the book now" statements amusing but I can understand how they could get tedious after a while, especially if you are reading all the books in one long stretch.

I haven't read the Penultimate Peril and The End yet because I've been mentally preparing myself.
