Third-Person "Self" writing

Ivi wonders if anyone will 'break character' like they do in the other group.

Here is where you talk in third-person. No I, Me, My etc.

[Maggie, Gaea shall smite you all.]

Maggie is adamant. "I will not break character!" she states boldly.

Ivi laughs. "Out all the posts in the topic in the Writers Who Are Children group, I'm the only who doesn't break character," she says proudly.

[Maggie, Gaea shall smite you all.]

Maggie tilts her head, "Writers Who Are Children?" she queries.

Rosalie tilts her head quizzically to her right. "What do you mean, break character? Like, go against their character's personalities?"

"Another group I'm in," Ivi explains. "Have you seen AVPS yet?"

Rosalie shook her head. "Naw. You'll have to invite me. What do you mean by breaking character?"

Ivi sighs. "Whim, you would type with your name. like Maggie and I are right now."

Maggie answers, "Not talking in third person. Yes, I have seen AVPS, and have you ever tried doing this all during English class? It drives teachers nuts."

"Oh, I wish," Ivi laughs. "'Did you get my text?'"

Rosalie furrows her brow in confusion. "Rosalie's my name," she explained.

"Hm...? Oh, well, Cassidy is my real name," Ivi says.

Maggie smiles, too. "Wow, I wish I had a pretty name. I hate Margaret nicknames like Peggy Sue and Margy, so I stick with Maggie."

"Aw, I'm sorry," Ivi says, understanding.

Maggie nods, then says, "At least you guys have awesome names!"

Maggie adds, "Although, my friend Amanda says I should be called 'Pegasus," maybe she'll call me that!"

Ivi laughs. "That's a cool name."

"I think Margaret is a beautiful name," Rosalie demures, glancing at her ungrowing finger nails sadly.

Ivi looks down at her fingernails. She wished that they wouldn't grow since she has to cut them every other day for piano...

Rosalie sighs. "'Scuse me for reading your thoughts. I play the piano too, but I decided to grow them out, regardless of what they would do to a) my piano and b) my fingernails. Because it looks pretty. But they're not growing fast enough." Rosalie pouts and reaches for her nail file.

Ivi smiles. "It doesn't matter if we read one another's thoughts... My teacher would get mad if my fingernails are too long.."

Rosalie smiles sympathetically. "I'm taking some time off from piano this summer. It wouldn't do to go to piano early Saturday morning with a raging hangover." She winks at Ivi and puts down her nail file.

Ivi gapes at Rosalie, then shrugs. "I have to... My school isn't exactly light with conservatory..."

Rosalie raises and lowers her eyebrows. "I go to a private tutor. So I guess I don't really have that problem," she says.

Ivi smiles. "Perhaps she should change her screenname..."

Whimsicality smiles. "Sorry if I confused you guys. I didn't know whether to use my screen name or my real one."

Vanster blinks. "Wow, that's your real name? It's so beautiful....my real name is pretty obvious to my screen name."

Whimsticality smiles gratefully, then asks, "What is your real name? :/"

"My real name is Vanessa," Vanster begins to explain. "My older brother calls me Vanster and it seemed like a good screenname."

"I have always been jealous of that name!" Whim exclaims.

Vanster shrugs. "I don't know. It seems pretty plain to me."

"Are you kidding?! It's, like, a hot name," Rosalie explains. "That's how I've always thought of it."

Rosalie laughs. "I'm probably making you uncomfortable," she relents, smiling apologetically.

Vanster shakes her head. "No, no. I've been awkward-er in some conversations."

Rosalie nods. "I know how you feel. This one time I was with my friends on the subway, talking about how much we hated Degrassi TNG, and this frizzy-haired girl turns around and says ina really snobby voice, "Well, it pays well." We'd insulted one of the actors! And this girl that goes to my school, Annie Clark, is one of the actors, too. D: Embarassing."

Rosalie shrugs. "Yep. My school is quite literally the King of Preps. Complete with the crown and scepter."

Vanster nods. "Wow. My school has like halls of different people. We have the Spanish Hall. The Smart kids Hall. Eight grade Hall. Stuff like that."
