Bella Foxygobble (dcrain02) | 0 comments Are black polo shirts and khaki pants the standard uniform for all harlequin heroes? I read Silhouette Desire, Harlequin Presents and I dabble in Love Inspired and that seems to be a common theme among the males...

willaful | 344 comments I hadn't noticed, but ugh! Could they choose a less attractive outfit?!

Trish Morey | 10 comments Clearly you're not reading mine, or any other Presents I read.

Scary!

Bella Foxygobble (dcrain02) | 0 comments the last few I've read had at least one outfit described as this! LOL Its funny because my husband's standard fare is blue jeans/polo combo, but khakis and a black shirt? REALLY?!

Trish Morey | 10 comments Weird. Just... weird.

Not sure what's going on there.

I think guys do wear khakis quite often, if they work in offices where it's business casual. I've seen a lot of guys wearing that kind of outfit in my work environs.

I would think the billionaire types would kick it up a notch. :)

Lynsey A (lovesdarcy) | 170 comments LOL too funny! Last Friday in my office we had 3 guys wearing khaki's and black polo's. Believe me none of them are romance novel hero's. :)

willaful | 344 comments I just ran across this in the book I'm reading! Not a Presents, an old Brockmann category. The really amusing thing is the hero is in disguise. So that's what he thinks he should be wearing.

Verity | 567 comments I'm ashamed to say I rarely pay attention to the Hero's outfit. Now if food gets mentioned, all of a sudden I get a craving 4 it. As if the aroma teased my palate just from reading what H/H are having haha.

Khaki's are the norm in our office. Dunno why. The fashion police should arrest 'em =^P

YES YES YES! I love it when food is mentioned or in an intricate part of the story-line!!!!!

willaful | 344 comments Speaking of food, what I notice is that if the heroine is a perfect type, she always orders fish. Like it's another clue to how awesome and above everyone else she is, that she actually likes fish more than meat. :-)

Verity | 567 comments I notice that Daphne Clair / Laurey Bright's H/H drink lotsa coffee. They'd have coffee @ the end of their date then go home, have another cuppa. I thought, well, aren't they lucky ! I luv coffee but my system can't stand it. I get dizzy & become insomniac @ nite even if I drink it in the morning. Got zero tolerance when it comes to caffeine LOL...

1 of Daphne Clair books have a hero who cooks tasty spaghetti for heroine (he owns a chain of restaurants) & I had to wipe buckets of drool off my floor afterwards. I luv spaghetti w/ meatballs. Yum !

I only pay more attention to the outfit if it's historical 'cuz the H/H gotta follow fashion, as we all know, back then, what they wear is scrutinized.
