why does the status thing say there are only 11 pages in the book?

Janeen-san That happened to me once. Sometimes it happens because the copy of the book you picking doesn't have the correct number of pages. You need to pick a different edition.

Anki The edition with eleven pages is an audiobook version, and it likely has eleven discs or tapes. The zero page editions are frequently ebooks, where the page count isn't a fixed number.

Yes, there are cases where the page number count for a particular edition is just wrong. Goodreads librarians are able to go in and fix messed up and/or missing page counts, but with so many different editions catalogued it really helps if other users will notify them of issues.
