I had a chance to make it to the library today. I was shocked to find as many interracial books (bwwm) that I did today at the library. I found four books. Two of the books I have checked out at the library in 2009 and didn't get a chance to really get into them, before I had to return them.

Soooo cool Chaeya!! What kind of music do you and your band do?

I'm a huge music lover!! Where can I listen to your stuff?

That's great news, Chaeya. I was wondering what you were up to.

I'm working on cataloguing my book collection right now.

message 109: by Chaeya (new)

Chaeya | 454 comments You can check out my music at:

www.reverbnation.com/chaeya

I'm meeting with a webdesigner next week to get our website up and going.

I haven't neglected my writing, I've just been busy. I'm still in the planning stage of releasing it, so I'm working on having it released with my CD, so I can have a release party.

As far as reading, I finally finished J.R. Ward's Dark Lover and now I'm ready for the next one.

Danielle, congrats because I've wanted to catalogue my collection and that's one idea that just falls by the wayside.

Chaeya

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Cataloguing...that's a good idea, Danielle. I need to do that too. I've come close to purchasing books I already have, and I would kick myself if I did that.

I'm using Goodreads to catalog my books. I'm going to import them into an excel document to save on my computer.

Hi Tara.

message 119: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Chaeya, I use Excel a lot too: list-making, calendars, scenes for WIPs. Whenever I get around to cataloguing my books, that's what I'll use. It's so convenient.

If you're weird, then so am I. :)

postcrdprincess | 397 comments Hey Tara and everyone.

I've been busy helping with my 97yr old grandmother, who has recently broken her right hip. She is healing well, but there is alot of work involved in making sure she stays healthy as possible since she is currently not mobile.

So on my down time I have been reading, but I haven't been writing my reviews of the book I've read. So I have promised myself that I am going to spend the coming week getting these reviews done.

I too hope everyone is doing well.

message 123: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Sorry to hear about your grandmother, but I'm happy to hear that she's healing well. No doubt she appreciates your attentiveness in her fragile state.

Take care.

Nichelle (ebondreamz) Life can be a struggle...but it is nice to have people you can talk to....relate too...right? :) Hang in there...!

message 134: by A.M. (new)

A.M. | 349 comments Evening, let see where to begin.

I'm finishing up a second draft of a WIP that I hope see published by the first of the year.

In addition to working full time, I've also taken on several side projects, one of which is helping my sister setup a website. She recently relocated Charlotte NC, she is massage therapist.

At the moment I'm not reading anything, except the Bible. For me I find to be a really good source for inspiration.

FirstLady, I defiantly can relate to life's little hick ups and struggles. Hang in there and this too shall pass.

message 135: by Nichelle (new)

Nichelle (ebondreamz) Working on getting books written with a friend...as well as I have become a romance review writer. :)

message 136: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) First Lady, I love the wig comment. I understand. Sometimes I want to throw things across the room. Hang in there.

Good luck with the WIP, A.M. I hope your timeline stays on track.

Congrats on the new gig, Ebony.

Nichelle (ebondreamz) Delaney thank you..perhaps you will give me the honor of an interview or a review sometime.

message 138: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) Sure, Ebony. I would love to. Let me know what your preference is. Feel free to PM me the details.

message 139: by Nichelle (new)

Nichelle (ebondreamz) Will do...and thanks again.

message 140: by Nichelle (new)

Nichelle (ebondreamz) Question for all you lovely people...I am struggling with...Pen name or not to pen name?

What do you all think of this who have done it, or chose not to?

message 141: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) | 86 comments Use a pen name if you want to write another genre. People tend to associate an authors name with the genre they first find them under and don't like accidentally reading a genre they weren't intending to.

message 142: by Delaney (new)

Delaney Diamond (delaney_diamond) People choose pen names for different reasons: privacy, you feel your real name is unnattractive/hard to pronounce, your real name is similar to another author's and could cause confusion, to keep family/friends from knowing what you're writing about if it could be controversial, etc.

If none of the above matters and you'd like to see your real name on the cover of a book, then I say go for it. It's such an individual decision that it's hard to make a true recommendation either way.

If you do pick a pen name, think long term and marketability.

Popping my head in to say hullo to all!

RL has detained me and I've been taking an extended break offline until now. Dove into the gaming community, worked a lot, started seeing someone new and now I'm back to catch on the folks here as well as my growing reading pile!

Hope you all are doing well. :-)

Hey Ebony Dreams! Awesome to meet a fellow gamer! I love playing Silent Hill and Tomb Raider for system games. I have some buddies who have been trying to get me into Lord of the Rings Online and Battlestar Galactica Online since we RP BSG but I'm trying to resist because I know I will be tempted to play all the time! lol

Delaney! Good to see you again! Yeah, I missed you guys and the books piling up. It'll definitely be fun getting back to finishing up and starting some new ones. Glad to have a hero inspiration to inspire me! :-D

Hey Arch! Huggs! Thank you! Hope you've been well. I need to catch up to your story. :-D
