A Child Called "It"

My overall impression of this Book was good- I guess. I really don't know if I should say that a book about torture to such a young child is "good" but the way it was written captivated all of my emotions. The Plot was okay- i cant say awesome because it was a sickening book- it was a little confusing because the writer didn't explain how the mother made her transition from a picture perfect mom, to a horrible sick-minded Mother. The Characters almost came to life in the book because I wanted to scream at the Mom and tell her to stop doing that to her son!! I can't believe how much pain David went through- and ONLY him! I felt bad for his character, and because it was a true story, I felt bad for Him [in real life:] and His Mother- that she could be so cruel! The ending was alright it happened a lottle fast, but It wasn't a "Happily ever after" type of ending either because I'm sure his emotional and mental scars still remain. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels that their parents are "SO unfair" and "Never let them have anything they want" because this book taught me and showed me how good of a life I have, becasue I am guilty of some of those feelings. It really made me reflect on my life and how I treat poeple, so I think that allmost every teenager should read this becasu eit whips you into reality!! FAST!! The only question I have about this Book is "What happened to teh rest of Davids family?" and "What happened to his Mom? Did they ever reunite?" A Child Called "It"
