goodreads API & Mobile app

2) scan? you mean like bar code scanner?
If its a commercial app, then we'd have to work something out (email support@goodreads.com for that). If the app is totally free, and you're not making money off of it, then you're not breaking our terms of service as long as you're fairly explicit that you're using Goodreads data, and you have links back to Goodreads.
What platform are you developing for?
For the past month or two I have been developing a mobile application that enables users to manage their (virtual) library.
As a next step, I would like to link the application with goodreads.com and let the users to post/fetch reviews, import/export/sync data, search in goodreads database etc.
Before I start, I would like to make sure the app will not violate goodreads ToS.
Here are some key features I would like to implement:
1) Let the goodreads users to import their books/shelves into the mobile app. Could I keep the data in DBs or I have to "refetch" them every 24 hours?
2) Allow the users to scann a book, search it out in the goodreads database and upload it into their goodreads shelf.
3) Allow (non goodreads) users to search for books and reviews.
thanks
Andy
