Up to 85. I'm trying to see if I can start and finish another book today but sleepiness is interfering. Grr.
Sans wrote: "Up to 85. I'm trying to see if I can start and finish another book today but sleepiness is interfering. Grr."You should take nap; you'll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to read. Are you trying to read 100 before January ?
Yep, I am. I've tried napping but I can't seem to really sleep. I'll doze a bit, then wake up still tired. I think it's more my dreaded gift from mother nature than lack of sleep. I'm always dragging and struggling for energy the first several days.
That sucks, I'm willing to bet you're a serious coffee addict. Am I right? Can you handle 15 books in two months? Though from what I've seen in this group that's nothing for some people.
I used to be! I worked at Peet's for over a year in college and I couldn't go an hour without coffee. Nowadays, my coffee addiction is nearly non-existent. I have half a cup or less every other day but that's about it. I mostly drink water during the day, sometimes 7-Up, but that's caffeine free. Hmmmmm. I think I can. I have several "slim volumes" on my shelves that I'm thinking I should read. And several Harlequin Historicals. If I stick to reading books that are less than 300 pages, I think I can do it.
And I know! Some of our friends here are amazing. I'm really in awe of how many books they devour!
I don't think I'll ever touch coffee. I already have problems sleeping; can you imagine if I decided to become a coffee addict? I'd have to start calling myself a vampire. I know, and they have kids or a job; or kids AND a job lol. It’s funny but before goodreads I use to think I was in a league of my own when it came to reading. This challenge particularly has been a slap in the face.
Exactly! My friends would be shocked at how many books I'd read. But after joining here? I'm a veritable slow-poke.

Thanks girls. :) Don't think I'll make it past 200. Not even counting all of the books I read to my girls. Too much going on in my "real-life" to escape to books as much as I'd like to sometimes. :) Hurry up and come with me. LOL
Up to 90 books now. Even with NaNoWriMo, I won't be able to stop reading (likely to the detriment of my writing).
Can I join even though I'm late for this year? I've read 124 books so far. I've been keeping track for another challenge.
I'd like to start this challenge too...I think I'm getting close to reading 100 in this year alone... :)
Kayla and Sarah this challenge was meant for this year but we'll restart it starting January. I plan on giving it a try, so get ready to read :)
Congrats, Sans! I want to keep track for next year, but I don't know if I will make it to even 100 or not. It will be a good challenge for me.

Only 5 more books to go and I'll have all 100 read for this year... Started to think I wasn't going to make it but it looks like I just might do it....

Sure niquae, as long as you read a book then we're fine.
I was just coming on to ask if there was going to be one for 2011 and I see that it's been asked and answered.
