Warlocks are the male version of a witch unless you are Cassandra Clare. She redefines Witches as male & female humans who practice magic and Warlocks the male & female offspring of humans & demons. They have natural magic abilities. Kelley Armstrong (at least in the books I've read so far) says Sorcerers and Witches are not the same. Also, in Wizards of Waverly Place (Disney show) Alex would be considered a Wizard not a witch. So to keep things from getting complicated I separated the two. I'm not sure if I should do a separate one for Warlocks or lump it in with the witches. I always thought Warlocks & Wizards were different.
Hmm, from where I come from, males are witches too and using warlock is extreme insult. And wizards aren't around..
Really? Interesting comment Heather. Guess it's a good thing I separated them then. Didn't feel right lumping Warlock in with anything. :)
Yeppers, really, really. I hate it when witches are used in such a way in books and in TV that demeans them.
