There are other books out there that are related either by subject (Pythia) or historical character (Merlin). What does the group think about selecting some of these for a group read?
Pythia:
Dark Oracle (Oracle, #1) by Alayna Williams Black Ships by Jo Graham

Historical Merlin:
Taliesin (The Pendragon Cycle, #1) by Stephen R. Lawhead Merlin (The Pendragon Cycle, #2) by Stephen R. Lawhead Arthur (The Pendragon Cycle, #3) by Stephen R. Lawhead

Please post your own suggestions! Are there any Mircea-related books out there...preferably not starring his famous brother!

Mai (maisydaisy) I didn't realise Taliesin was a real person, but then of course he is, practically all the characters are! That's so exciting, now I must go find out more about him :D

Stephanie Loss (supersteffy) | 136 comments Taliesin? Who's that?

Stephanie Loss (supersteffy) | 136 comments Oh, and I'm read "The Crystal Cave" right now. It's part of the arthuarian saga but it's about Merlin so far...unfortunately I left it home when I left for college :(

Mai (maisydaisy) Taliesin was Pritkin's adoptive father according to KC.

Stephanie Loss (supersteffy) | 136 comments On a random note....

I didn't know where else to put this, but has anyone ever see a HUGE book called "The Dictionary of Mythology: An A-Z of Themes, Legends, and Heros"?

I own a copy and it's the bestest most Wickedest magical/fantasy/whatever referance guide EVER!

I'm thinking about writing a parody of KC books, starting with..."

I think this falls under the "fan fiction" topic in the "Websites" folder. You can delete this post and re-enter it there.

And if you don't see a topic, go ahead and create one. Every member has permissions to do so, just make sure it is Karen Chance focused.

For those of you who can't get enough of a mage with tatoos who fights demons, you might try this book series:
The Warded Man (Demon Trilogy, #1) by Peter V. Brett The Desert Spear (Demon Trilogy, #2) by Peter V. Brett The Daylight War (Demon Trilogy #3) by Peter V. Brett

Josie | 643 comments Oooh, I just read that one. I'm not into PNR but they are a serious guilty pleasure. They contain cliches, ridiculous names, everything I don't like in a book and yet they are very addicting and I will probably end up reading the whole series. Great way to spend time I say, hope you enjoy them :)

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 1164 comments The demon trilogy seems good reading Enjee, I'll bump it higher on my TBR (better if I cold fit it in a book challenge).

Right now I'm on Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter #3). Nice easy read.

I liked Dark Oracle (Oracle, #1) by Alayna Williams by Alayna Williams, since it has a foreseer who is quite smart. Now I find out that the sequel is coming out Feb 22: Rogue Oracle (Oracle, #2) by Alayna Williams .
