Just finished reading Shaodwland and have to say I think Casanova great in it had me smile alot plus I love the way John and Rosier interact with each other like to see more with the too of them :-)
Sweet :-) I can't wait hopeful it won't be to long of a wait :/)

Agree Claire about Casanovas but I think that's the beauty of his character unwilling hero lol maybe not hero but he has can be fun

With you on that Lannister be great if KC have his background as I do feel sorry for him sometimes too :-) and other times I like to B''ch Slap him lol

I dunno if anyone would have told Mircea. I think of it more like people bitching together about their boss (or maybe the boss's wife!) It takes a certain kind of person to go telling tales, and possibly some of Cassie's vamp bodyguards quietly agree with Casanova's complaints!!
I think they know he's just likes to moan, but he wouldn't actually do anything that would harm Cassie. After all, he has helped her in the past, even if it was unwillingly and only because it suited him. Casanova strikes me as the kind of person who's always bitching about someone.

Also, Pritkin has enough Daddy issues without his father showing up in a dress!!

I could see Rosier possessing a woman though, if he thought it would be an advantage.

mmmm perhaps not!"
LMAO!! I so do not want to think about that!! :D

Interesting - never thought of it that way - but KC clearly likes the cross gender thing (Cassie and Billy Joe, Cassie and (view spoiler)

Casanova strikes me as the kind of guy who'd be up for anything, and to an incubus, sex is sex. I doubt they have hang-ups over the gender of their partner.

Hmmm I wonder if that's actually his incubus subtly influencing his thoughts there. Maybe he didn't get with the dudes until he had a live-in demon! That would be kinda funny if it were true.
Claire, yeah, I think Casanova's definitely wary of Rosier and dislikes Pritkin. Someone made a comment in one of the books about Casanova having to serve two masters, and I think sometimes things are difficult for him because of that. I wonder if that Mircea vs Rosier thing will finally have a showdown. Maybe in Tempt the Stars??

@Lannister I bet Casanova would try just about anything. No reason not to when you have an incubus dwelling in your body. No room for things like shame, guilt or regret.

And Casanova is definitely adventurous.

And Casanova is definitely adventurous."
It's possible he might find out in Tempt the Stars. I guess it depends on how much explaining Cassie has to do.
I wonder if Mircea would amend his feelings towards Pritkin knowing who he was. Would he despise him even more, or would he use it as a chance to get closer to a power in the demon realm (since vamps are always drawn to power)?

I wonder if Mircea's personal feelings might get the better of his judgement though. He has grudgingly accepted that Pritkin is a good bodyguard, but after Rosier tried to kill Cassie, Mircea might object to Pritkin being around, saying that his motivations cannot be trusted. We know that's not true and that Pritkin dislikes and distrusts his father, but Mircea may not believe it. He might believe it's all an elaborate demon plot to enslave Cassie or whatever, because that's exactly the sort of diabolical plot the vamps would come up with!
Also, diabolical is my word of the weekend. I'm going to use it as often as I can. :D

I'm surprised those two haven't actually come to blows yet!

Mircea isn't the "coming to blows" type. He just has Marlowe on it. LOL. I think also, while Mircea suspects/knows Pritkin's feelings, being the practical vamp that he is, he doesn't push too hard for Pritkin's removal because he DOES keep her safe and it keeps Cassie happy (and a bit more open to Mircea's manipulations).

It's definitely true that Mircea isn't the 'coming to blows' type ... but Pritkin is! Actually, I think it's Pritkin's oath to Cassie that stops him reacting to the vamps' taunting. He's putting his duty above his personal feelings, which is admirable.
Maybe one of these days Mircea will ask Marlowe to do that hand-waving thing, and blow Pritkin's head off. Now that would be an amazing ending to the series!! *runs off as the howls start*
