Thanks. I really hope it goes back up again. I love the cover. I even set it as the background on my iPad.
*ahem*
Not to get everyone excited, but have you noticed the page for Shadowlands on KC's website is now a link?
If you click on it, you get a page with "Nothing to see here. Move along."
I assume this means that the story will be posted very soon.

noooooo

To all - I have taken the story, formatted it into an eBook format, added the cover and a Table of Contents, and verified that the ePub format is clean and correct - the other formats should convert fine from the ePub. If you are interested in having this, PM me with the format you'd like the eBook in (Kindle-kins - AZW3, ePub, PDF, etc.) and an email address I can send it to.

Just finished it. My thoughts exactly.

@Claire I'm left feeling a bit of the same way, myself. I enjoyed it, but it felt so disconnected from the story. That is certainly not enough to hold me over until the next full book, but I'm glad I finally got to read it.
Like Zeenat, I loved Cassie at the end. I'm shocked she didn't lose her mind after getting her head chopped off so many times.

YAY!!! Thanks for posting Lannister =) I will read below after I have a chance to read Shadowland.

I liked the story. I couldn't help comparing this version with the first one (the one she pulled). We never saw the "gentleman's club" or the library with Rosier in really bad shape. Maybe those scenes will be in the next Cassie book, as a way Pritkin bargains his way out of hell.
I did find it interesting that the Allu are the means by which the consequences of a broken oath are enforced in the demon realm. I thought some magic automatically kicked in and rendered the consequence (like Pritkin getting pulled in to hell when he fed energy to Cassie. There weren't any Allu there that time).
And Cassie showed us all that the Allu can be fought, hence the consequence can be fought. So maybe Cassie really can go to hell and bring Pritkin back just by being as badass as she displayed. She was awesome.

KC on FB when someone said how much she liked badass Cassie.
Cassie is learning. Of course, it's easier to win a fight when you already know what your opponents are about to do--because they've done it a hundred times! Glad you liked it!

I'm never going to complain about a Pritkin story, but I was a bit sorry that KC revaled quite so much about Pritkin's feeelings for Cassie (less is more I feel at the moment) and for the first time, the Cassie as a fluffy bunny persona he saw irritated me. I love Cassie because eventhough she is learning and changing she is still strong (unlike Dory who just IS badass).

I think it's already obvious he's attracted to her . . . lol remember the scene where he comes back from Faerie, and she is taping him up. ROFL. best scene ever.
