I never got to see what KC had for Shadowland. Can anyone give a high over view of what it was about other than Pritkin)? Some have hinted to him remorseful about Cassie dying.. or was it him thinking Cassie died?

Okey-doke overview: (view spoiler)[ So Pritkin is watching Cassie open various coronation gifts when he smells brimstone (a very explosive substance from the demon realms). He jumps out of seat and yells at her but he's too late and the present she's opening blows up, killing her and blowing a large chunk out of Dante's. So Pritkin gets attacked by a demon who was possessing Marco, who he assumes is Rosier but Casanova saves him and we get to see that Casanova and the succubus who possesses him are sort of in love or something. Then Pritkin wakes up and it turns out he knows Rian, Casanova's demon. He then heads off to Shadowland, one of the demon realms to find his father and get revenge. Once he gets there he finds Beren, a fairly sentient Shadowland animal who befriended him when he lived there during his "sojourn in Hell." Then he heads off to a sort of demon equivalent of a gentleman's club to find Rosier. But he finds no one except a shape shifting demon called a nymph who preys on his confused state by morphing into Cassie and kissing him. She turns out to be a Rakshasa in disguise and it turns out the whole thing was a scam set up by Isadore, his father's second who wants to get Rosier out of the way and make it look like Pritkin killed him for revenge which is why he attacked Cassie. Pritkin kills the demon. While all this has been going on, it turns out Cassie isn't really dead, but has accidentally set up a sort of time loop spell. Basically, she knew Pritkin was trying to tell her something but didn't have enough time so she tried to give him more but he left this dimension so Cassie and Casanova are stuck in a loop that repeats every hour or everytime they die, which is often. So they call Jonas and he tells them that the spell will repeat until it has all the components necessary for completion, in other words, they need Pritkin to come back and tell her what he needed to tell her. So Casanova gets bundled off to the demon realms to find Pritkin who has just found his father being savaged by a horde of Rakshasas who are working for Isadore (the bad guy). They want to get into the club Pritkin was in earlier because they want to eat Rosier's massive collection of souls which he keeps there. Because Rosier made Pritkin a member years ago, he can bring some Rakshasas at a time across the spells that shield the club and the story ended with him asking them who wanted to go first. There was supposed to be an epilogue to all that but KC took down the story before it was completed so we have no idea what happened next. (hide spoiler)]

LOL. Well this is the Shadowland thread so it isn't necessary. But thanks for the recap. I had forgotten most of it. I wonder if KC will ever put it on line. I know she promised it, but maybe she thought better if it. Not only because she wasn't happy with it, but also because it shows us too much about Pritkin's feelings about Cassie?

I think the problem is that people didn't click on the spoiler tag thing I added. Because if you click on it, my whole message says: "People! Especially Enjee: GR came with this new thingy: [Fever spoilers here], please use it. Anybody with half a mind knows what you're talking about."
ETA: and it wasn't my intention to be rude to the two girls in question and I apologize if that was the case.

I specifically tagged the 'Fever' part to save other people from the TMI (which is now deteled).
I was trying to explain in that thread (and this one) that we don't need to (or rather: shouldn't) spoiler tag our comments concerning KC's books. To me our only concession should be the making of a separate non spoiler thread for when a new book comes out (like Rachel commented on for HtM).
I was hoping everybody understood what I meant, but I understand the confusion.

I'm so glad you guys started a Karen Chance Fan Group. I cannot wait for the rest of the books to come out! At least 3 of my must read authors have books coming out in Feb. (all Feb 22nd) so I'll have something to keep me occupied for a few weeks. I made a mistake and read the teaser chapter for the next book *hits self in head* I know better, now the wait is even worse.

Anyone else curious what KC is working on now? I never worked in book publishing, so I wondered: is HtM completely wrapped up or is she finishing edits? Planning any tour-type stuff? Done with everything related to HtM and working on Shadowland?

Well, Maeve, I took your advice and emailed her. She says HtM is done, and it's her longest book to date. She's now working on Dory #3 and "some stuff for the sadly neglected web page" - maybe this means Shadowland is coming soon???

I also dropped some hints about a book tour, but she says she's not big enough to do book tours. Bummer. I know I would come see/stalk her on a book tour!!

Just a thought! I haven't read the original Shadowland but read Maeve's summary so...
What if because HTM might have some of Cassie's coronation in it, Shadowland could be put up after to show the version of events through Pritkin's eyes. Still hoping for it to come sooner though...
