I'm a new member as well but I think I'm going to try and finish at least 9 books from August 20 to August 31 if that's okay?

TBR Challenge

- Agatha is a middle-aged public relations agent who decides to retire early and move from London to the small village of Carsley in the Cotswolds. She soon finds herself a suspect in the murder of one of the locals and decides to take matters into her own hands to uncover the real murderer. This is a very entertaining read with lots of humour, a variety of colourful characters and lovely pastiches of country life. I will certainly continue with the series.
Mary, There's no time limit on this challenge, but it's a good place to remember what you want to read next.Carol, Sugar Daddy was my least favorite of Lisa Kleypas' contemporary books thus far. It was good, but each book thereafter gets better than the one before. Sugar Daddy lays the ground work for Blue Eyed Devil (BED).
BJ Rose we've been reading a lot of the same books. I'll definitely need to pay close attention to your list since we seem to like the same books.
Caroline_com, You can start this challenge any time. If you finish one list you can start another or just let your first keep growing. The only reason I've not done this so far is I've probably got over 100 books on my shelf I've labeled TBR. Maybe I'll just start making smaller lists and try to conquer them as I go.
MJ, That is definitely okay. You can set your own pace.

Haven't quite finished - still this final one to go.
I did enjoy this challenge because it encouraged me to read some of the books on my shelves apart from HR which is my favourite genre. I will definitely be reading remaining books in the 'Comanche' series by Catherine Anderson and more of Mrs Pollifax and Agatha Raisin. I had also forgotten how much I enjoyed Mary Higgins Clark.
Lisarenee wrote: "Carol, Do you have all of Kleypas' out of print books? I know Love, Come To Me is one of them."I also have 'Forever My Love', 'Give Me Tonight', and 'Where Passion Leads'. It will be interesting to see how her writing style has developed over the years.

- I tried to be objective when reading this book because Lisa Kleypas had stated on her website that her first four books were "part of a learning curve". I really enjoyed it and I think it helped that I did not compare it with the books she is writing now. My only criticism is that editor should have done a better job because I felt at times there was too much emphasis on historical aspects which tended to overshadow the romance.
This is a great challenge for me. I'll have to check which books I have from the library are already on my TBR list, see if I can get in on the action.
Ah, I could definitely use a cheerleader. Thank you! I also came up with a free style challenge that I might employ. Do you think I would be better off posting here or on that thread?

Great books Archer, I just checked out The Summoning from the library but my friend borrowed it because I have so much to read. The Morgan Kingsley books are great and the Sookie Stackhouse series is a new favorite of mine. I might have to check out all the books on your list but I'm trying to wheddle down my TBR pile not add to it.
Well good luck with that Sashana, everytime I come in here and look at others lists I just add more to mine.
I only got in 7 from my actual TBR. I read others but they were library books. 1: Deadly Harvest-Heather Graham
