Sashana *Fingers crossed for Sans* I think university could be fun. High school is really depressing and soul sucking though (I know-I'm a drama queen lol).
What would you study if you went back to school Sans?

Heather | 504 comments Fhalin, OK, so how do you pronouce your name and where did it come from?

It was interesting having my Mom work as a teacher, especially since she taught Special Ed. But it was a PITA if I had one of her friends as my teachers, which did happen a few times..

Lauren | 931 comments We live in a little rural community but a lot goes on. You'll never really know about what goes on if you don't talk to other people... A lot of things in the town seem very secretive. It's actually pretty strange. Our highschool has a lot of kids who are different... awkward even.

message 160: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments Hey Sashana, sorry I accidently
deleted your comment. By "awkward," I mean like a very secretive little town... Everyone kind of keeps to themselves and weird things happen all the time. It seems like their are lots of people in the town who are just socially strange and have a hard time trusting others.

Oh that's wayyy too hard to choose! Currently I'm re-reading My Sister's Keeper, and that's definitely one of my top choices. The Pact is good as well. Yours?

message 166: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments Well I haven't read My Sisters Keeper -- I really liked Nineteen Minutes and Change of Heart :) Yea The Pact was great too! Oh it is hard to choose :)

My Sister's Keeper was excellent. So much so that when I found out they were doing a movie, I was unbelievably excited (I happen to like Abigail Breslin quite a bit, and she played the main character). Unfortunately, compared to the book, the movie was horrible. By itself, it was pretty decent, but...I was expecting more, you know?

Anyways, definitely My Sister's Keeper. That's one you should read (hope I'm not making your TBR list even longer!). Nineteen Minutes and Change of Heart are the two of hers I have left to read I think...I'll add them to my list now, thanks!

Lisa, I was in the car with a friend on the Bay Bridge going to work when the news station we were listening to announced Ledger's death. What a damn shame as I seriously don't think he even reached his peak..

Fhal (donellys) | 19 comments Hey guys!
I'm so sorry. I wasn't able to talk to you all in a long time. We just had our exams and it was brutal!
I hated Statistics. At what grade are you supposed to take Statistics?

My name is pronounced as Fa-lin. I don't know where my mom got it exactly and I think it means nature? I think my mom got it from Disney's Bambi. Faline was Bambi's mate... I so don't know where she got it xD

Welcome to the new comers!!! :D

message 185: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments Fhalin I hope exams weren't too bad! Think of it this way: Now they are overwith! It's nice to have you back.

message 186: by Fhal (new)

Fhal (donellys) | 19 comments I cried when I received my paper in Stat. I got a failing grade then when we went over the answers I was like "Thank you, Lord!" There were lots of stuff my teacher didn't check and I ended up having a passing score!
It's nice to be back :) Thank you!

message 187: by Sans (new)

Sans How did the teacher get away with failing you if they didn't check all of your answers?

I loved Math. It was my favourite subject. Good teachers definitely help though.

message 188: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I hate math, but it's my favorite subject this year. I love English and Social Studies but they're my worst subjects this year. *Weird*

message 189: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments I'm pretty good at math, Icam ahead the average of my grade by 2 courses.

message 192: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Carol, you love the original SW too! Remembering standing in line in SF at the Coronet.

A Voracious Reader (a.k.a. Carol) (avidreader68) I have nothing against the newer Star Wars movies, but the originals, back then, were WOW! George Lucas is The Man! His dialogue sucks, but the movies were awesome. lol

message 194: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Oh yeah, I hear ya! I saw the 'new' ones and hated each and every one of them. Just horrible! The one thing I have never been able to do is forgive Lucas for saying he knew everything that was going on in the whole series. Right, so Luke has the hots for his sister! Gross on so many levels..

I just started reading Dragonwyck by Anya Seton. I'd never heard of this author before, now she keeps cropping up on various groups and threads.

LOL good to see another Eric-lover on here!!
Which reminds me I urgently need to continue reading the TrueBlood books, I don't want the TV series to catch up with me!

Shay wrote: "I just started reading Dragonwyck by Anya Seton. I'd never heard of this author before, now she keeps cropping up on various groups and threads."

I have read several Anya Seton books and they are all very good. Her best one is "Katherine", in my opinion.

message 200: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Sabrina, don't even worry about that, as Ball has screwed TrueBlood up big time. I wasn't all that impressed with the latest Sookie book but I did love in Eric in it. I seriously need to reread the 4th book before the next season of TB comes out..
