Lauren, and other good readers my story began when I was in 3rd grade I experienced so much pain from bullies, kids, etc. it wasn't until I blew up in middle school expressed my feelings in foul language when I decided to become an author, after my blowout I went to the library where I found solace in a poetry book and then I instantly loved it, understood the pain they went through and so on. a friend told me to write out my feelings during that time and my feelings became great poetry so after that greatest incident I started writing more and more and ultimately decided to become an author and share my stories with everyone.

thanks for that sweet comment Heather.

Wow Johnathan... Sorry to hear about the bullying, did anyone stick up for ypu? Did you tell your parents/guardians? I encourage you to check out our," Poetry by You," post. Feel free to share some of your work and comment on others as well. I can't wait to read your work!

ok let me type a dark one and a happy one for you on the Poetry by you post. X)

Welcome Fhalin! My Mom's a Cancer; when is your birthday?

yeah readers of our age are very rare now a days. It's hard to convince others to read especially when they get hooked with some new computer game or gadget. Not to mention our library here sucks so they don't actually help in promoting books :L
@Sashana: The good books are really really hard to get. It took me months to get my own copy of Prophecy of the Sisters and Beautiful Creatures.
@Heather: That's cool! My bday's on July 10
@Johnathan: I'm sorry to hear that you were bullied. I used to be bullied too when I was in the first grade. I was new in school so the others took advantage of me. They forced me to share my answers in tests and they blamed me for their mistakes. I became stronger in second grade though but I remain distant from others until now. Books make me happy now :)

@ heather yes they have, but the bullies are in a way the reason why I write.

Miss Kenji I so relate to the reasons why you read, and you're 6ft1 wow that's tall! lol.

@ Fhalin same thing happened to me I had to share my answers also, and then I kept to myself until 8th grade where I exploded all my emotions and found solace in this poem book I read in the library and then I met someone who saw a darkness in me and tried to break it.

That sucks. I don't buy as many books now since my bro started college so my library is my saving grace. You know, I would move to Seattle just for their library system. I hear it's great.

If you want a book, you need to go and buy it! It even worse here... You need to wait for months for a specific book :L
I need to save up for a lot of books coming out and there's this deal with all the books being hardbound :L Ugh, people and the business world...
@Johnathan: It's actually really nice to have someone to talk to. Me and my bestfriend break through each other's dark side. That's how we met ;)

@ Fhalin that's awesome and likewise, one of my bestfriends is Sashana and I have two more I am happy to have met both of you.

I'm sorry for a late reply. Teachers are killing us students slowly! They get paid for torturing us with not only boring lessons but with tons and tons of homework and projects. At least I'm still alive! hahaha xD
@Johnathan: I'm happy to have met all of you! :)

Actually, let me qualify that: I'd love to go back to college. High school...*shudders* I didn't bother showing up much the last two years. Dreadful place.

And being weir well our high school call us(my bestfriend and I) crazy weir scary girls lol! I love it and my bestfrien always thinking she is girlfriend of Prince of Persia lol! and she is wr,t,ng too:) hmm I like you.)
And Fhalin hmm never hear your name(so sorry) what does it mean? and about school well next week I'll go to universty and I hate abouot it I hate going to school well at least I got out of my high school uniform I'm free about wearing but well about studying I'm not die about it and about teacher!( I hope you wont get angry with me Heather)
-at least I'm still alive- lol! yes but they steal our childhood I think I couldnt live what I would like to live! and I hate about it....

I think my mom meant my name to mean "nature" since she watched Disney's Bambi haha!
I don't know why but I complain about school yet deep inside (really really deep inside) I kinda like school hahaha! XD
@Heather: My mom is a teacher, too. She's a teacher in college. She's like a different person when she puts on her "teacher mode" It's like I don't know her at all O.O
@Sans: I'm a sophomore and I don't know how high school in your country is since 15 or 16 is the normal age for a sophomore. Here in my country after the sixth grade you go straight to high school. My fresh man year was awesome my sophomore year so far is not that awesome. It's just okay :)
@Sashana: Yeah. I have no Me time :L

Fhalin wow it's great I think I wanna a name that I've never heard lol! my name is kinda weird and my friends makes joke about it but it's ok I like it:) And school yes I like it but only when our teacher leave us alone and I and my bestfriend can be talk easily:)

Freshman year was quite dull for me, I was still going through my rebellious phase (started smoking and messing around with a few drugs and alcohol and boys in 7th and 8th grade). I was never outgoing (and I'm still not IRL) so I didn't have many friends. Sophomore year was better for me but only because I loved my math class so much. Junior year I cut three days out of five and I passed only because I kicked ass on the midterms and finals. Senior year I was part of a "Middle College" experimental program and took all my classes at the local community college.
I'm 29 now and I'd give anything to go back and take my SATs and go to university. I can't do anything about the SATs, but I have my heart set on going to either University of Edinburgh or King's College at Aberdeen in Scotland. I'm told that, as a non-traditional student, I have a good shot at it. Fingers crossed.
