Really? I've actually never seen the movies, but I'll have to check out the music.

message 510: by Sashana (new)

Sashana How in the world did you manage to get by without seeing even one of them? You are unbelievably lucky! lol

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments Sashana wrote: "How in the world did you manage to get by without seeing even one of them? You are unbelievably lucky! lol"

My sisters went to the premiere of the first one and told me I would hate it, so I stayed away. I tend to be pretty critical of movies adapted from books I've read, even if I shouldn't be. For instance, I didn't really enjoy the Hunger Games movie, though everyone around me did.

message 512: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Did you like the Harry Potter movies?

message 513: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 1043 comments Sashana wrote: "Did you like the Harry Potter movies?"

For the most part, yes. I had to try really hard to see them as separate from the books, though. I didn't like the fourth film, but I can watch it now without cringing and griping about everything they left out and changed. I've only seen the last one once, so I can't really give my opinion on it too well, but I remember enjoying it.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Sashana wrote: "They always seem to pick the perfect song for the perfect moment."

They do! And then I can recall the scene in my mind. I'll have to check out Twilight's soundtrack. Though, I have no desire to see the movie again...or any of the rest in the series.

I'm trying to think of my favorite movie soundtrack...it is hard to choose. So, I'll just have to go with what I've listened to recently:

Forest Gump
Little Shop of Horrors
Working Girl

I prefere the Dirk Pitt ones and the Oregon Files. The NUMA files are good too but I'm not so keen on the The Fargo ones or the Issac Bell ones as they're not based on the sea as much.

I'd love to read them in the right order but we've lost our copy of the first book (although there is some debate as to whether we actually ever had it!!) and my local library doesn't have it. I'm looking out for a really cheap copy so I can get started.
