SOLVED. Children/YA sci-fi, two kids named Adam and Eve save the world [s]

I think the kids had fathers that were scientists or astronauts or something. I don't remember how they saved the world, except that it had something to do with computers and not getting much sleep. There was also a little alien character named...Tefla? My teacher read this book in my 5th grade class (late 80s) and I can't for the life of me recall what the title is.

Wow, so random, I kind of remembered reading a French book like this in middle school called "Nos amis robots," so I looked it up. The translated English title is Robot Alert, and it was written by Suzanne Martel. Here's a link to a description: http://www.umanitoba.ca/cm/cmarchive/...
