the book is about this girl wwho acts really wild and crazy after her mother dies and she feels like her father blames her for it. She lies to alot of people and hurts them. All of the truths start coming out and she is nop longer the gueen bee. She meets this guy and they start to care deeply for each other. She almost loses him because he finds out the truth about her.

This kind of sounds like Meg Cabot's Pants on Fire. I'm not sure about the deceased parent, though.
