Please feel free to talk about your favorite book by Judith McNaught. For me it is hard to choose 1 favorite. I was introduced to Judith McNaught when I read Paradise way back in 1991 so by default that has to be my favorite, but I LOVE Once and Always, when Jason finally cried, I sobbed and had to put the book down until I had myself under control. Then there is A Kingdom of Dreams. What can I say, this book is perfect. Speaking of Perfect, Zach and Julie are amazing....I could go on and on but they are on the top of my list.

Amanda Fielding (mandy_fielding) | 3 comments Hey Jeninne, I'm new here, and I'm kinda lost cause my english is very bad, I'm brazilian!
So, my fav Judith's book is Once & Always, I love "Perfect" but Once & Always is sooo romantic, I'm definitely in love for Jason Fielding, he's everything that a girl could want. (this is my opinion XD)

Sorry it took me a while to get this, I was out of town. I am glad you love Once & Always too. Of all the McNaught heroes, Jason it may absolute favorite! He is so complicated yet gentle. I have read the book 5 or 6 times and I just melt. I highly recommend Paradise. It is by far her best contemporary. It was the first of her books that I read and it was amazing!

Connie Kania | 2 comments This site was recommended to my by my daughter who is a library public events coordinator. She and I have different tastes in our reading material. She favors non-fiction and I read romance and mystery romance. I always wanted to discuss the books I've read and Judith McNaught is one author I love to read. I have many audio books and the one I am currently listening to is Someone to Watch Over Me. This is my 4th or 5th time listening to it. I think the narrator, Barbara Rosenbalt, is great because she has the ability to change voices and the voice she does for Michael Valente has me envisioning one handsome dude. There is a murder involved so it is not all romance but I still get carried into the story every time I hear it.

Another audio book of Ms. McNaught's I own is Every Breath You Take. Although the narrator is not as talented as Ms. Rosenblat I still love the story. I live in a suburb of Chicago so maybe it had more of meaning to me.

Aurore (padme501st) | 3 comments My favs (cant pick just one) are A kingdom of Dreams; Whitney, My Love and Perfect. I love Once and Always though, i think Jason is so dreamy

message 6: by Connie (new)

Connie Kania | 2 comments My favorite McNaught is still Someone to Watch Over Me although I do like Perfect. I heard the audio version and liked it a lot. The characters carry over to Every Breath I take. I had her new book on reserve at the Library but then I read where she held up her writing to take care of her ill mother.

Tina | readinginbliss (readinginbliss) | 7 comments The first book I read of McNaught's was Someone to Watch Over Me, but I think my favorites are Perfect, Once & Always, and Almost Heaven - you gotta love Ian! :)

message 8: by Alyona (new)

Alyona | 2 comments I like all the books by Judith McNaught. The first book I've read was "Paradise", and it's one of my favourite books. I also really like: "Someone to Watch Over Me", "Every breath you take" and "Once and always". But most of all I love "Perfect"!!!:)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I haven't read anything by her yet, but I love historical romance.

What do you recommend? Are her books light reading? Sexy? Mild?

message 10: by Noor ul (new)

Noor ul (fantasy4life) | 2 comments Every breath you take was the first book I read by Judith McNaught and I adore it but I'm in love with "Once and Always." Paradise and Perfect make me melt every time I reread them. A kingdom of Dreams is also wonderful!

message 11: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (samthemonkeygirl) | 3 comments My fav Judith McNaught of all time is definitely without a doubt "A Kingdom of Dreams" with "Whitney, My Love" as a VERY close runner-up and "Something Wonderful" not trailing far behind. =]

message 12: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 38 comments My favorite Historical would be "A Kingdom of Dreams". I've read that so many times and never get tired of it. For Contemporary "Paradise" is at the top of the list. I love them all and own most of them.

message 19: by Alycia (new)

Alycia Hello All,
I recognize a few faces :)
My first McNaught was A Kingdom of Dreams, which is one of my all time favorite historical romances. I am currently reading Whitney My Love and I love it, I consider it also an all time favorite even though I am not done with it yet. We'll see which one I like more when I am done:)

message 20: by Jann (new)

Jann (jannabanana33) | 1 comments Although I haven't read it in years, I remember that "Whitney, My Love" was a great read. I loved all of the Judith McNaught books that I read!

message 21: by Alycia (new)

Alycia I loved it Jann! It was a wonderful but very emotional book.

message 22: by Lori (new)

Lori Baldi | 9 comments The first book I read by Judith McNaught was Paradise. I absolutely loved it and got it when it first came out as Literary Guild or Book of the Month Club main selection. After reading it I read Perfect and loved it even more. Those books and her older contemporaries were the only books I read by her for a long time. I didn't read historicals but then I finally caved in and read Once and Always. Wow. My first historical romances and I was in love. I've read everything of McNaught's since then. I have to say that the most recent few books have not satisfied me. They seem unfinished somehow. But that doesn't stop me from buying every book she puts out. Now, let's get her to write some more books!

message 23: by Alycia (new)

Alycia I haven't read any contemporaries yet, but I plan to. I wish she would write more historical!

message 24: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 38 comments Ugh, I just wish she would write. Alycia you really need to read at least one of her Contemporaries. Paradise and Perfect are good to start with.

message 25: by SmittenKitten (new)

SmittenKitten | 3 comments A Kingdom of Dreams is the most perfectly written romance I've ever read!

message 26: by Alycia (new)

Alycia Katherine wrote: "Ugh, I just wish she would write. Alycia you really need to read at least one of her Contemporaries. Paradise and Perfect are good to start with."

I plan to! I was told to start with Paradise. The only one I know is Remember When. I have to finish her historicals as well... I need more time! :)

message 27: by Alycia (new)

Alycia SmittenKitten wrote: "A Kingdom of Dreams is the most perfectly written romance I've ever read!"

That was my first McNaught and definitely one of my top two McNaught books!

message 28: by Manuela (new)

Manuela My favourite book are Perfect and Paradise.

message 29: by Autumn (new)

Autumn (sweetdenial) i have read all her books even the 2 xmas anthologies.. more than one time.. because she writes ROMANCE. that's whats she is about.. and every character, plot, and all the different elements she puts into a book revolve around the simple theme of Romance.. so, i have no favorite... i just cant.. her characters are so well developed and she goes very deep into the core basis of their relationships making every book so unique..

even my two least fav books: Double Standards and Tender Triumph i still finished them and enjoyed them hehe.

my first book was paradise. (i found it in a library dumpster bin, because it was very worn out lol) and i had nothing else to do for two hrs so i picked it up.. and from that day on i just kept reading all her books until the last one of her series.. now i have been waiting on Can't Take My Eyes off of You who knows when is going to be finally released. **sighs**

message 30: by Alycia (new)

Alycia I can't wait for that one either. What's your favorite book Autumn?

message 31: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 38 comments I can't wait either and it is driving me crazy. To think it will be probably another year...sigh.

message 32: by Autumn (last edited Nov 28, 2010 06:57PM) (new)

Autumn (sweetdenial) Alycia: Thats the rabbit hole question!! because the more i think to single one out, the more i like each and every book in its own way. i have characters that i liked better than others, but as far as book is concern;is tough tough pick for me!!

ps: you sooo have to try her contemporaries..!!! they are beautiful!! specially paradise and perfect!!

Kat: hmmm i read somewhere that she keeps pushing back her publication date, due to her mother`s illness.. they now have it between 11/2011 and some time early 2012!! :(

message 33: by Alycia (new)

Alycia Lol, it is a tough question :)
