I was home sick for 2 weeks and I reread all her historicals. Got better and had to go back to work before I could get to Paradise.
My first and favorite is Paradise, closely followed by Perfect. Then Someone to Watch Over me. And I'd probably say Kingdom of Dreams, Whitney, My Love, Once and Always, Almost Heaven and Something Wonderful are all tied - each has an element special to itself and something that I like to look back on from time to time
Hey guys! My name is Vienda. I'm an avid J.McNaught's fan, and I like Something Wonderful, the most :)
Hi! my name is Joanne I love all J.McNaughts books, they are keepers for me, I read them over ever year of so. I especially love Every Breath I Take, and of course Paradise. What about the next one about Kate's feceased father, helping her friend the veterinarian find her special love, since he felt he was responsible for Kate's meeting Mitchell. Anyone know about that book? I think it was to be called somthing like Keeping my Eyes on You???
Who is Kate? Which book? I've got Paradise & Perfect memorized but you'll have to help me with Every Breath You Take. I don't remember the characters.
@Lori: Hi. Kate is the main protagonist in Every Breath You Take. You can check J.McNaught's site for the plot. Here's the site: my link textLori wrote: "Who is Kate? Which book? Does anyone know if "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" with characters Holly Braxton, the vet in "Every Breath You Take" and Clay Westmoreland, the NFL quarterback and relative of the historical Westmorelands, will indeed be published in December 2011 as rumor has it???
@AnneOK: my link text says that it will indeed be out in December :)AnneOK wrote: "Does anyone know if "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" with characters Holly Braxton, the vet in "Every Breath You Take" and Clay Westmoreland, the NFL quarterback and relative of the historical Westm..."
My Top 3 Historical:(1) Once & Always
(2) Almost Heaven
(3) Whitney, My Love
My Top 3 Contemporary:
(1) Double Standard
(2) Paradise
(3) Someone To Watch Over Me
I just re-read "A Kingdom of Dreams" for about the hundreth time. Its my favorite JM book ever. I've read all of them through ~2000. There are some newer contemporary novels that I have yet to read. I'm thrilled that there is still new stuff out there for me. It will help bridge the gap between now and when the newest one is relreased! As far as the contemporary novels, they are all great as far as I'm concerned. "Perfect" and "Paradise" are amazing!!
I love almost all of JM's books. With the exception of Night Whispers, most of the books are my all-time favs! Now, I read Whitney, My Love first, so it will always have a special place in my heart. After all, it was what introduced me to JM. Paradise was my first contemporary I read by her and I thought nothing could be better. Then I read Perfect, and fell in love with the entire book.
I recently read almost all her books and I simply cannot decide on which book I love the most. They're all amazing in my eyes.
Best historicals were:
Whitney, My Love
Once and Always
Something Wonderful
Almost Heaven
(I would say A Kingdom of Dreams, but out of the 4 times I read it, 1 of the time I just couldn't enjoy the book.)
Favorite Contemporaries:
Perfect
Paradise
Double Standards (love the book, hate the ending)

Read each book like a million times!!!!"
This is the exact order of my favorite McNaught books!
Other characters show up in EBYT but I believe this is the only book Mitchell is in. I love most of JM's books.
Ah well that is alright, I like what I've read so far and have a few books waiting to be read. Very excited to finish "someone to watch over me".
Hello there! :)My favorite book of JM is Paradise, followed close by Almost Heaven. A girl gotta love Matt and Ian. :)

Can;t wait to start my next book of hers :)

I love Paradise...it's been a while since I've read it...might be time for another reread
The 1st book I read was Double Standards..I read it when I didn't have that much faith in Love..and then Paradise was the next one w/c sealed the deal for me...I love almost all her books...
The first book I've read from Judith McNaught is Double Standards, hence it will always have a special place in my heart. However, my favorite from the contemporary novels is "Paradise". My all time favorite male character also came from this book. Mathew Farrell. :"> He's just so perfect of a lover and so in control of things (okay, except for the part where Meredith's father interfered with their marriage without their knowledge. lol). Anyway, I'd do anything to have a man like him in my life (I don't think it's possible though, i mean, no man alive could ever be like him!). Out of all the books I've read, Matt and Meredith's love story will always be the most precious. Truly an unforgettable story. <3My favorite regency romance novels (yes, I have two favorites in this genre haha) would be "A Kingdom of Dreams" and "Until You". I love these just as much as I love Paradise... Okay, maybe I love Paradise a tiny bit more. Just a tiny bit more. lol. The characters from A Kingdom of Dreams and Until You are the most perfect couples for me out of all the regency romance novels. The chemistry totally sizzles and the spark is so intense you'll wish you have a connection with someone as strong as the characters have with each other in those two books. :">
I would have to say Kingdom of Dreams and Almost Heaven are my absolute favorites. I am reading Until You right now, everyone is saying good things about it so I have high hopes that it too will become a favorite.
I love each and every book of hers..but the first book I read of hers was Paradise and am in love with that book and will always be!
I love all the books of Judith McNaught! Actually anticipating the release of her next novel. I heard the hero is set to be another Westmoreland :)
Sanjana wrote: "I love each and every book of hers..but the first book I read of hers was Paradise and am in love with that book and will always be!"Sanjana, same here. I re-read that book every couple of years. Love Matt and Meredith! I like several of McNaught's historical ones, but I really prefer the contemporary.
Trish wrote: "I love all the books of Judith McNaught! Actually anticipating the release of her next novel. It kept me awake at night and I was sad when it was over. Such a good book.
i haven't read any of her historical romances, but love her contemporaries. Best of all her books was "Someone to watch over me" loved the character of Michael Valente.
The first book of hers I read was Whitney, My Love. Then I had to read the rest of the Westmoreland books as they came out.
Hi,I've read Every Breath You Take, Paradise, Perfect and A Kingdom of Dreams. One word for Judith Mcnaught : Amazing!!!
Hi all! My name is Elizabeth Yu-Gesualdi and I am the author of the New Adult contemporary romance novel entitled Broken Road. I am a big time fan of Judith McNaught and have read every one of her books at least a half a dozen times. Whitney My Love is my absolute favorite novel and that particular novel I have read over 20 times! So looking forward to her new novel although I can't help but wonder what is causing the delay. It seems like forever since she last released a book. Anyway, looking forward to chatting with you all about Ms. McNaught and her wonderful novels.
Not a plug. Seriously joined the group because I love Ms. McNaughts work.
"Every Breath you Take" is definately the best of McNaught's in my opinion. There's everything there: love, passion, humor, romance, detective line. Gods, I can read it million times.
Mina wrote: ""Every Breath you Take" is definately the best of McNaught's in my opinion. There's everything there: love, passion, humor, romance, detective line. i am an absolute JM fan. ive read most of her novels but my favorites are, for contemporary: 1.Paradise 2.Perfect 3. Double standards; for historical:1. ALL Westmoreland series.
Hi! Judith McNaught is my favorite author and Whitney My Love is my all time favourite novel. I first read it in 1984 when I was a sophomore in high school. I had to hide it under my mattress because my parents frowned on my passion for torrid romance novels. I instantly became a huge fan and love all of her books.
