Stephanie Hi everyone!

Like all of you, I am a huge fan of BOTNS. I have gone back and started listening to the episodes from the beginning and making sure all books mentioned are on my BOTNS shelf. I know that some of you spent a great deal of time compiling a list of the books (printed and in a binder at my desk, and I THANK you!), but I wanted to reach out to people who quickly want to add BOTNS books to their shelves from Goodreads.

I currently have episodes 1-10 updated (you wouldn't believe how many books there have been!) on my shelf with 11-20 coming this week. I will let you know when I update my shelf.

Just click on my name and look for BOTNS. Grab what you want!

Going back and listening to the show from the beginning makes me laugh because Ann is ALWAYS gushing over A Fraction of the Whole. It is now on my nook and getting read this week.

I am not trying to step on anyone's toes here - just trying to help out fellow fans!

Stephanie, this is fantastic! Thank you. Especially since the book index that so many here worked very hard to compile is now broken (a Wordpress plugin that the developer abandoned).

How thoughtful, Stephanie! But I had already figured that out about you.

Thank you.

Aww...thanks! :) I am glad to help out fellow readers! And Ann, by the way...in regards to the cookbook episode, have you been trying one new recipe per week to weed them out?!?!

;)

Stephanie As a side note, this is a great podcast to go back and listen to even months later. I like to hear Ann and Michael talk about the books before AND after I have read them. In my notebook, I have the episode next to each title so I can do this down the road.

I.am.a.self-proclaimed.book.nerd.

What a great idea and thanks for taking it on -- if you need any assistance I'd be willing to pitch in.

I've done the same. Do it with movies, too and Siskel and Ebert (or their "heirs"), too.

I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS GROUP!

Debbie (kaelesa) | 39 comments Stephanie, I checked your booklists on Goodreads, particularly the Cozy Mysteries. I just wanted to recommend The Aurora Teagarden series by Charlaine Harris (she of Sookie Stackhouse fame). The protaganist is a librarian in the first couple books. Ms. Harris also wrote another series with Harper Connelly as the main character. She has an interesting career of locating bodies - a talent she acquires after being struck by lightening. Charlaine Harris writes great characters and these series are fun reads.

Stephanie Updated through Episode #17. I am really busy with teaching applications! ;)

Stephanie So, Ann, I am almost finished with A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz and I am laughing a lot...plus, the book is just smart ! I can't believe this is his first novel. I haven't laughed like this since reading This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper Great recommendation. I don't know anyone else that has read it, so I had to come tell you.

Michael, I am going to start two books you raved about very soon. They just came in to the library after being on hold: Mister Pip by Lloyd Jones and Mudbound by Hillary Jordan

I am trying to read books from the early episodes that you guys really went gaga over. :)

Stephanie, I'm so happy that you appreciated Fraction of the Whole!! Now if we can only convince Michael ...

HEY.

I was willing to read it, it just didn't get the most votes!

Stephanie I think it was about 100 pages too long, but some of the lines from that book were HILARIOUS in a smart, witty way. I think I gave it four stars.

Stephanie I am WAY behind on podcasts - I like to save up four at a time usually, but I have been so swamped with getting a new teaching job for the fall. It gives me something to listen to now in the car...I no longer have a one hour drive to my school...it's fifteen minutes. PHEW.

That does NOT mean "Shorten the podcast." ;)
