Sorry ... sometimes I'm looking so hard for certain words in the non-task requirements that I don't have an open enough mind to see other possibilities. That's one of the reasons I'd prefer the non-task activities to be optional.

No problem, I should have been more specific. I know it is difficult to try and figure out what someone is thinking when they post a task. If you weren't looking for certain words or phrases, you would go crazy trying to read every word everyone posted. Task 30.2A requires "either pass it on, or recommend it to a child (give details when you claim your points)."

Please do not ever do a repost like this one again.

Repost only the task(s) that needs to be fixed.

You are asking us to pick out the corrections from loads of irrelevant data which is a lot of extra work.

Pasting in copies of posts means the books show up without links and without authors which is one of the first things I look for -- a lot of time wasted.

25.5 Share the Summer Love
My current favorite genre is romantic thrillers, so I read Return to Me by Christy Reece. I read it mainly because it is the second in a series, but it was an interesting story about human trafficking of children and it reconnected with familiar characters. I enjoyed it because it was a very fast paced story with a romance worked into the plot.
My other favorite genre (I wouldn't put it as second because they pretty much tie) is detective/mysteries. I read S is for Silence by Sue Grafton, which definitely fit the genre. I was guessing till the end about the murderer, and I really liked how she included memories from other characters.

"25.5 - Helen's Task - Share the Summer Love

Favorite genre: Fantasy: I love reading books that take my to another word and away from mundane life. Tempted by PC Cast does this be taking the reader into a world of myth and magic. The characters go through normal issues that are a part of growing up. At the same time, they have to deal with things that around far beyond everyday life.

2nd fav genre: Historical Romances: I love to read them in the summer when I am out of school. I always say it gives me a chance to read purely for fun. Secrets of a Proper Lady by Victoria Alexander"

Sera Gotcha - thanks, DLM. Neither one is a mystery. They are both thriller-suspense. Irrespective of that, they don't really fit the forensic/science requirement as you had described. I'll see if I can fit them in elsewhere for some credit.

Dlmrose, I'll just move Guernsey back to the Indie award task and watch one of the movies. For the other book, I can either read an Orwell or Wynham book (if I can find one with "man" or "case" on page 31) or move it back to it's original task (who/name).

Elizabeth (Alaska) pj, and others, you might be interested in online backup services. I use Memopal, but there are others including Carbonite. They backup on the fly without your having to perform the operation. You have control over which files/folders are backed up. The biggest advantage, for me, is that I can access those backed up files from any computer.
