Julia (bambbles) | 114 comments I know you are ridiculously busy, but is the list of GR Authors pre 850 (so the duplicate of cynthia) being updated?

I (Julia OH) have read Ten Things I Love About You - Julia Quinn and The Taming of the Duke by Eloisa James. I should have two in the old and two in the new.

I know that you just got added as mods though so no hurry or anything. Just an FYI.

Authors were only marked with an asterisk. Rules require that you "claim" a GR Authors ticket -- actually include the words "Goodreads Author" in your post.

Please repost with task numbers.

message 103: by Coralie (new)

Coralie My records show that I should have 610 points not 600. I believe I have completed the following tasks -
5.1, 5.3, 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 5.8, 5.9, 5.10, 8 x 5 = 40
10.4, 10.6, 10.7, 10.10, 4 x 10 = 40
15.4, 15.5, 15.7, 15.10 4 x 15 = 60
20.1, 20.2, 20.3, 20.4, 20.5, 20.6, 20.7, 20.9, 20.10, 9 x 20 = 180
25.1, 25.2, 25.4, 25.5, 25.7, 25.8, 25.9, 25.10 8 x 25 = 200
30.1, 30.2, 30.5, 3 x 30 = 90
40 + 40 + 60 + 180 + 200 + 90 = 610

Allie (tubeofaim) | 37 comments My spreadsheet shows me with 235 pts, the readerboard shows only 230. I have the following tasks completed:

5.2, 5.9 - 10 pts
15.2, 15.4, 15.10 - 45 pts
20.2, 20.7 - 40 pts
25.1, 25.9 - 50 pts
30.2, 30.3, 30.4 - 90 pts
10+45+40+50+90=235

Fixed -- corrected score will show up in next Readerboard update. Thanks.

scherzo♫ (pjreads) Readerboard, Goodreads Author tickets, Big Book tickets updated through post 2550.

Dee (austhokie) | 8947 comments pjreads - post 2476 - I listed 4 GR Authors for pre-post 851, but only 1 made it onto your revised list...

I should also have:
Tere Michaels
Shiloh Walker
Meljean Brook

scherzo♫ (pjreads) Sorry, computer glitch yesterday -- I'm fixing it now.

message 109: by Eilymay (new)

Eilymay (eilisislocajustlikecocoa) Hey, I know it must be a really difficult job to sort through all the task posts but I think I should be on 90, rather than 65 points. Also I have read a big book from the 500+ and the 1000+ categories

message 110: by Liz (last edited Aug 24, 2010 02:22PM) (new)

Liz For my goodreads authors, I should have 5 more listed than I do (starting from post 851). I'm guessing you listed them under LIZ US (what I used to go by) b/c I didn't realize at that time that I was supposed to put my new readerboard name at the top of the post. I went through & edited all of them w/ my new readerboard name: LIZZIE JANE
I should have
5.2 - Maggie Stiefvater (message 898, p. 18)
10.10 - Cassandra Clare (message 1,011, p. 21)
20.9 - Kathryn Stockett AND 25.5 - Cassandra Clare (both in message 1,384, p. 28)
10.2 - Sarah Addison Allen (message 1,656, p. 34) (I believe the one you already have counted for this author is in a more recent message 2,707, p. 55, so I should have 2 for her since post 851.)

That should bring my total GR authors up to 12 - 4 from when Cynthia was moderating & 8 since post 851.

Thank you & sorry I didn't catch on to the changes sooner!

See posts 5 and 216 in the Completed Tasks with Questions/ Problems thread.

Big Books - Cynthia's rules and her post 1 in the Completed Tasks thread require that Big Books tickets must be claimed. It is not enough to say that a book is over ### pages, it is necessary to say "Big Book" in some way.

25 points -
EILIS - post 1799

25.5 - Helen's Task - Share the Summer Love

A. My favourite genre is historical fiction so I read World Without End by Ken Follett (1000+ pages). I have always had an interest in history and reading historical fiction brings, for me, the events of the past to life. It lends a human aspect to what is normally considered in abstract terms and I love this genre of writing.

B. My second favourite genre is mystery/thriller so I read The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón (500+ pages). I love novels that require me to think. I love guessing what happens next, who did what and why???

Task 25.5 also requires "C. Write a short review for each ..."

You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted requirements plus previously omitted requirements.

Liz Thanks!

message 114: by Liz (new)

Liz Sorry to be a pain, but I should have 2 for Sarah Addison Allen since post 851. Thanks again!

message 115: by scherzo♫ (new)

scherzo♫ (pjreads) You're not a pain. You read the book, you should be on the list.

I'm concerned because I don't know what happened on the two that were missing (one Cassandra Clare and one Sarah Addison Allen).

message 116: by Liz (new)

Liz I was wondering too. I think the Cassandra Clare one just got overlooked b/c it was in the middle of a long post. I'm assuming my first Sarah Addison Allen one was just accidentally skipped.

message 117: by scherzo♫ (new)

scherzo♫ (pjreads) We did have both listed in the notes we keep. Somehow I either didn't add them to the official list or they dropped off somehow. Either way is not good.

Ah, that would make sense! I will write up a review for each of those and they just happen to be two of the big books so that sorts out both. Thanks

message 119: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 57 comments I believe I should have 545 points, not 525.

I have completed the following tasks according to my records:

5.1, 5.2, 5.4, 5.5, 5.9, 5.10, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, 10.10, 15.1, 15.3, 15.4, 15.7, 15.8, 15.10, 20.1, 20.2, 20.4, 20.6, 20.7, 20.8, 20.10, 25.4, 25.5, 25.6, 25.8, 25.9, 30.2, and 30.5

Let me know if I need to fix anything.

Fixed ... missed 20.8

It helps if you put a blank line between tasks, instead of doing this:
10.2: The ____ Who ___: The Cat Who Went Bananas by Lilian Jackson Braun. First book I read in this series- it kept me entertained during a long flight!

15.3 Books and Blogs: I don't follow any blogs, so I used one that someone else already claimed to direct me. I read At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks. Here is the link to the blog: http://bookreviewsbykatie.blogspot.com/s...
My review: It was not my favorite Nicholas Sparks book. I seem to be in a slump where I am not really enjoying much of what I read at the moment - nothing is drawing me in. I had an especially tough time getting into this. I didn't really like the character of Lexie - she was whiny and hard to relate to, while Jeremy was overdramatic about everything! Once I got past the first half, the second half really picked up for me, and I was crying by the end.
20.8 B+N Classics: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
