When you combined it, you lost the something important in the description that I've added. I added a line saying that it was the ePub edition. Please add that back in. The line should read ...

This is the ePub edition.

All on it's own line. Thanks.

She didn't remove that. I did.

We've had this conversation before: we group all ebooks together, unless they have separate ISBNs. This ISBN appears to be being used for multiple ebook formats.

In another thread it was said it was ok to put that in the description. The page numbers are irrelevant otherwise because unless it's ePub, there should be no page numbers.

I think you misunderstood. And yes, page numbers from an ePub or PDF version are used, because those are the only ones with meaningful page numbering.

JSWolf | 649 comments As for the ISBN number, it is different for different versions of the eBook...

http://www.booksonboard.com/index.php...

Adobe ePub
ISBN: 9781101134016
Adobe Digital Edition
ISBN: 9780786541027
Microsoft Reader
ISBN: 9780786541010
eReader
ISBN: 9780786541034

Ah! Ok, that disagrees with what I had found elsewhere, but that appears to be a reliable site. Edited accordingly.

JSWolf | 649 comments So what is the official ruling as to putting a line in the description to say that the eBook listing is for the ePub version? Without it, the page numbering will make no sense as most eBooks do not have page numbers. In fact, my guess is a lot of eBook listings have a page number where they should not. Most eBook listing use the page number from the paper edition which is incorrect.

I put it in the Edition slot.

JSWolf | 649 comments When I add an eBook that is an ePub edition, can I put that it is an ePub in the edition slot?

If the ISBN is used solely for the ePub, and not for ANY other ebook type, yes.

Sandra | 31584 comments JSWolf, perhaps you shouldn't assume that ebooks with page numbers are incorrect. I personally have added well over 1000 ebook page numbers from my PDF ebooks. I only assume they are wrong when I have the correct number in front of me. :)

The ISBN used for this eBook edition of Club Dead is for the eReader version. eReader doesn't have proper page numbers. Yet this version is listed with a page number. Can this page number please be removed since it's not correct?

It is reasons like this that I do feel that the eBook format should be put in either the edition line or in the description. That way, we would know if it's might be correct or ot as far as page numbers go.

Unless you have a correct number to replace it with, no. Some users find those page numbers useful, whether you consider them correct or not.
