Sashana The aim of the game is to ask random questions (or whatever is on your mind) in order to learn a bit more about each other. Easy right? Lets play!

What is your favorite thing to do besides reading? What is your dream job/career?Why?

message 2: by Katherine (new)

Katherine My 2nd favorite thing is anything to do with water. We go rafting a lot with friends on the river or swimming. So anything to do with water and family and friends.

My dream job is being able to stay home and take care of my family. It's the hardest job I have ever had but it has great rewards. My house was so much cleaner when no one was home. LOL I'm very thankful to have this time.

message 3: by Levi (new)

Levi Jenkins (levi-jade) | 17 comments okay so my 2nd favourite activity is dancing. I am studying Contemporary dance in university atm, and love it, I have danced since forever...although I only started the field of Contemporary about four years ago now I think, and even though it's not everybody's ideal form I personally love it! I love being creative with my body and when I am not studying the genre in class, I am travelling (2hours) home to teach it, and when that isn't happening I am likely dancing with a company/group.

hmm... my dream job would be to dance professionally not only with Contemporary but also going back to my routes, which would take me back to the stage. However due to my back injury it seems this dream will shortly end after a few more years. So I guess it's a lesson to enjoy what you have while it lasts. So I have a back up dream job/jobs, an Air-hostess or a top fashion photographer - well they are DREAM job's right? lol x

Lauren | 931 comments 2nd favorite activity: Playing softball. I love the intensity of the game and hope to play travel this coming spring. Hoping for a college scholarship as a catcher someday.

Dream Job: Hmm... My dream job would involve getting my Ph.d, and becoming a psycharist or therapist. Due to everything I've experienced,I would really like to help people.

message 5: by Sans (new)

Sans My second favourite is writing. Which is also my dream job.

message 6: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments You write the book and I'm your first customer. :)

message 7: by Sans (new)

Sans Awww, thank you. And I'm already working on it, m'dear. A friend and I are writing a book and we've got plans for five more already.

message 8: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments By any chance does the book have a guy in a kilt in it?

message 9: by Sans (new)

Sans Are my interests that transparent? Yes, in fact, it does. We came up with the plot while warming up with Irish coffees after a fire alarm in the hostel forced us to stand around on the street for an hour on a freezing November night in Edinburgh last year. I'm telling you, alcohol is good for ALL occasions. I'm hopefully building my future success on that whiskey.

message 10: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments Haha! You're funny with that whiskey Sans... :) I'll buy your book too.

message 11: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Hmmmm.... Maybe I should try some of that whiskey. I always wanted to write a book. You may be starting something. lol

message 12: by Sans (new)

Sans Honey, I'm always staring something.

And thank you, Lauren. I hope you like Scottish history and romantic suspense.

message 13: by Hera (new)

Hera (usmccanthem) | 4 comments my second favourite activity is swimming competivily as I love to be in the water and compete with people.

My dream job is to be an accountant as I enjoy numbers and math a little too much, :)

and Sans i will buy your book when it comes out

message 14: by Sans (new)

Sans I love math too. It was my favourite subject in school. I disliked most of my English classes because of the crap books they made us read.

And thank you! ^o^

message 16: by Shay (new)

Shay | 923 comments 1. My second favorite thing to do is cooking/baking.
2. I already have my dream job, which is taking care of my kids. I work in the family business part-time, so I can work from home most of the time and set my own hours. I guess I'm different from most people because I hate working and can't wait to be retired. I aspire to do nothing.

I wish I could do nothing either, or at least read for a living. Sadly, I'll probably spend the next 50 years woking :(

A Voracious Reader (a.k.a. Carol) (avidreader68) My second favorite thing to do is playing in the dirt. I love to grow things.

My dream job would be to read for a living, slush piles preferably or doing book reviews. I read an average of 300 (or more) books a year. It'd be nice to get paid for it and take some of the financial pressure off my hubby. Shoot, I wouldn't even need to be paid much. He even has 401(k) and bennies, so don't need those. lol

As soon as I get my office painted and furniture arranged I will be writing a book that's been growing in my head since I took a Creative Writing class in 2005. It's all there, I just need to sit down and pound it out on the keyboard. :)

message 19: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 223 comments My second favorite thing is cooking and baking. In my spare time if I'm not reading then I'm usually in the kitchen. I get bored eating the same things over and over so we rarely eat the same thing twice. Which is good for variety, but drives my husband crazy because when he says something like, "Remember that chicken dish that you made last month, I want you to make it again..." I have no idea what he is talking about. lol

My dream job would be to stay home with my son, but unfortunately I have to work. Thankfully I do have a job that I enjoy, but I would much rather be at home with him.

My 2nd favorite thing is hiking, I love being outside and going for long walks.
My dream job would be to work in a bookstore and to be able to know about new releases immediately.

message 21: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Am I the only one who thinks that tights should not substitute as pants?

message 22: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) lol no sashana I dont think theyre an acceptable form of pants either

message 23: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Don't get me wrong, I think they are cute when all the appropriate body parts are not on display. Unfortunately everyone seems to think that we want to see what the good lord gave them.

message 24: by Susan (new)

Susan Gottfried (westofmars) My legs are too muscular, so I look odd in them. All those hours on a bicycle, and all so I can't wear leggings unless I'm pedaling away!

More power to the ladies with the long, shapely Barbie legs. Honestly, I do envy them, even as I'm proud of those muscles.

message 25: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments I think it is fine if, like Susan said, you have "Barbie" legs. Dimply, cottage cheese legs and tights/leggings do not mix. Even with barbie legs, your shirt, skirt, etc., should be at least mid-thigh.

message 26: by Robin (Saturndoo) (last edited Feb 20, 2012 10:03AM) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) | 1359 comments My second favorite thing is crocheting. I have about 3,000+ full skeins of yarn and who knows how many partial skeins/scrap balls. I have lots of patterns/pattern books, embellishments, hooks and other accessories. I have been crocheting for about 33 years and can make just about anything : )

My dream job would be to own a book & craft store (all in one) I could be my own boss and do the two things I love best all day!!! Play in yarn and books : )

Do you have any artsy/craftsy type hobbies?
