Dean Koontz Frankenstein series on book two of five flew through the first one would give it a 4.4 stars pretty good
Trent wrote: "Dean Koontz Frankenstein series on book two of five flew through the first one would give it a 4.4 stars pretty good"the first 3 are pretty good, i thought 4 would have ended it, but sadly it does not. i thought we were getting the old Koontz back; but this is just my opinion. the reason given by certain beings in the book make no sense, so it threw me off i think... mmmmm
I remember reading the first and second book, but then it took so long for the third to come out that I forgot what happened and lost all interest.
I've finished reading
by Jamie Ford last night. I really loved this book! Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is a beautiful, fascinating, tender and moving story from beginning to end. Like the title suggests, the story is such a bitter-sweet tale, heartbreaking at times and so warm and sweet in others. All the characters were vivid, well-developed and realistic. I really loved the characters of Henry, Keiko and Sheldon, and really cared about what happened to them. I found it really hard to put this novel down and I look forward to reading more from this author! I gave this novel 5 Stars! My full review is here:

Now I'm a few chapters into
by John Steinbeck.

I couldn't even read the 4th book. After the utter disappointment of 3, I gave up on the series completely. I've lost a lot of respect for the man because of it..

I've never fancied them. Not that keen on what I've read of Koontz. You got any good recommendations for his stuff?

Most of his older stuff is pretty good. My personal Koontz favorite is The Bad Place. I really liked Fear Nothing, too!

I enjoyed Phantoms and Watchers quite a bit.

I'm currently reading
Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: An Indian History of the American West. It's fascinating and frustrating at the same time. Very well written.
That's odd, Joel, I just finished Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History. And it was absolutely amazing. One of the most fair depictions of Quanah Parker, the half white son of Cynthia Parker, captured by the Commanches when she was eight years old. When they finally found the band she was with, Cynthia was married to a Commanche chief, had children, and wasn't in the least bit interested in returning to "white" life.

The toupee wearing Dean Koontz is odd... :/

I totally agree - I gave it 4 stars for the same reason. Was a great read though, I could hardly put it down.
