Scott | 401 comments I started Monster Hunter International over the holiday. I haven't gotten very far but I'm really enjoying it.

Bondama (kerensa) | 868 comments Veronica, "Gone Baby Gone" is one of Lehane's very, very best - He had a semi-series for a while, a man and a woman formed a detective agency, and this is one of their first cases. Lehane is a genius with characters, IMO!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 747 comments I'm reading The Dead Zone by King.

message 3954: by Scott (new)

Scott | 401 comments I just read my first Lehane book a little while back. He is an excellent writer and I can't wait to read more of his books.

The book series, its book 4. I love it. My most favorite Lehane book is Mystic River.

Graeme Heddle | 2 comments I've just started reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It's free on iTunes for today only so I though I'd give it a go. It's a monster of a book though so will probably take me a while!

First, congratulations on finishing The Hobbit, Michelle!! As for Needful Things, I'm not currently reading it, but I've been meaning to re-read it for awhile now, so it's on my list of books to read in 2013!

For some reason, it just sounded good to read right now. :)

message 3963: by Bondama (new)

Bondama (kerensa) | 868 comments "The Dead Zone" is usually considered one of King's very best books - he portrays the the "tension" that would be undergone by anyone with even a touch of telepathy-imagine what it must e like - all the radio frequencies in the world, coming at you at once!

message 3964: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 747 comments When I looked at the ratings after I put it as the book I'm currently reading, I noticed a lot of my friends have rated it really high. I was a little surprised because it's not talked about a lot. Usually I hear more about "Carrie", "Pet Sematary", "IT", "The Shining", and "The Stand." And of course The Dark Tower series. I've never read The Dead Zone, so I'm definitely looking forward to getting more into it later today. :)

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) I've finished reading What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty by Liane Moriarty. I really loved this novel! The plot was very intriguing, compelling and well-written with an interesting and unique premise. I loved the author's writing style. The story was very funny and some parts were quite touching and made me want to cry. The characters were all well-developed, vivid and believable. I found it easy to relate to Alice and the other characters. I was unable to put this book down for long. I was desperate to find out what was going to happen next! I gave it 5 stars!

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 612 comments Finished it, loved it. It was quick and mean, and drew me right in. Now I'm catching up on the newspaper while the Kindle charges oh so slowly, then I'm gonna move on to one of the other ones, UR or Mile 81. I've got $2 left on my card, so I'm debating whether to get A Face in the Crowd A Face in the Crowd by Stephen King or Thumbprint: A Story Thumbprint A Story by Joe Hill with it.

Ethan | 152 comments I'm looking forward to it. But World War Z is amazing so far! The interview type format of the story is very interesting.

message 3992: by Aoibhínn (new)

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) Yesterday I finished reading The Dressmaker by Kate Alcott by Kate Alcott. I really enjoyed this novel. It was very hard to put it down. I loved all the historical details about the Titanic and its survivors. I liked this unique take on the Titanic disaster. Not many books about the Titanic sinking feature the aftermath of it and how survivors try to deal with what happened and move on. I gave it 4 stars!
