I haven't read either of those but I have read Mirror, Tengu and Devils of D-Day. All three were decent but the ends were a bit rushed. I wouldn't bother with Charnel House it's very disappointing

It's my first Masterton novel, it is a fairly easy read and an interesting plot so far. I will let you know when I am through.

Thanks Jacob, I appreciate your opinion. I am enjoying Edgewise so far although I am not very far in to the story, so we'll see.:)
Tracy I hope you enjoy it enough to continue to read Masterton! I personally love his works! One because they are usually easy to read, and 2 he chooses very interesting storylines!

I am about 83% through the book and every last one of them are insane. Dysfunctional and amoral folks. Colin Walls has some serious psychological issues. He needs meds. Simon Price and Obbo need to go to jail for the rest of their lives. The rest are just unbearably ignorant except for the kids and Kay.

If Stephen King and J.K. Rowling team up and write a book, it would be intense. I don't know if our brains would be able to handle it. LOL

OMG could you imagine!! That would be a bestseller for sure.
I totally ageee that Kay is the most stable character, perhaps because she is not native to Pagford. I think the kids were normal for the most part, I mean considering their parents, they don't really have a hope. I got the sense that their futures would definitely be better if they left the parish. That place is toxic.

I liked it. The book got a little slow in the middle but i was intrigued enough to want to read the next book in the cycle.

just finished From the corner of his eye by dean Koontz, great good feeling book so sorry it had to end
I've finished reading
by Kate Morton today. I thought it was beautifully written with just enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested. It was obviously very well researched - I loved the WW2 bits. Those scenes were so vivid that I felt I was actually there! I found the pace of the novel, especially in the first half, to be rather slow. I thought the author spent too much time describing the various settings in the novel. It got really tiresome in places but the pace does pick up again in the second half. I loved the ending! The twist at the end completely surprised me. I wasn't expecting that! I'm usually quite good at predicting what's going to happen next in novels but that twist was a huge surprise! http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Now I'm a couple of chapters into
by Karen Kingsbury.
Body CountI can't turn the pages quick enough! One of the most moreish books I've read in some time. I just hope the last half is as good as the first!

I have this on my list to buy. Are you liking it at the moment?

I finished reading
by Karen Kingsbury last night and I really disappointed with it. The plot was very predictable, irritatingly repetitive, contrived and not very well-written. The concept of the story was interesting but the author is not a good enough writer to pull it off. This novel was simply too formulaic, too sweet, too predictable, too simplistic, too everything I don't like. The entire novel had that 'la-la-land' feel to it. My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Today I've started reading
by Stef Penney.
Just started a western that's been on my TBR for nearly 2 years: The Adventures of Johnny Vermillion
