What are you reading right now?

I can read three or four books in a series back to back but after that I have to stop for a while.

That was a pretty good book. Enjoy.
Tracy wrote: "I find that difficult to do. I can read three or four books in a series back to back but after that I have to stop for a while. "That's pretty much what I'm doing. I'll read a 3-5 and then take a break and read some other author or something non-fiction before resuming. It's working out well so far. I've finished the first 20 :D

As a writer I want to have as broad a reading experience as I can! "I do take breaks :D
On to Winter's Tale after I finished the last two Foundation books, which was not as good as I had hoped along with The Joy Luck Club.
Kevin wrote: "On to Winter's Tale after I finished the last two Foundation books, which was not as good as I had hoped along with The Joy Luck Club."Ahh the Joy Luck Club, I really need to pick that one back up! It was good.
Kevin wrote: "On to Winter's Tale after I finished the last two Foundation books, which was not as good as I had hoped along with The Joy Luck Club."I just read Foundation. What order did you read them? I'm having trouble figuring that out.
Alondra wrote: "Reading A Game of Thrones, and now i am hooked already at page 101 :D"I am hooked also. I am more than halfway through the book and cannot put it down. I watched the series on HBO, but it does not put a damper on the book.
Charlene wrote: "Alondra, enjoy! Be ready for some surprises."Yes, LOTS of surprises!
I'm so glad you're enjoying Thrones, Alondra.:)
While convalescing, i read the outsiders, finished the wool series, read uglies a d started 11/22/63. Still not sure when I'm returning to work. (had ACL surgery)
Dani wrote: "While convalescing, i read the outsiders, finished the wool series, read uglies a d started 11/22/63. Still not sure when I'm returning to work. (had ACL surgery)"Oh, Dani, I'm so sorry to hear that you had to have knee surgery...
Have you read Meg Cabot's Airhead series? Usually I don't like YA books when they are to teenagery but they were pretty good.
Dani wrote: "While convalescing, i read the outsiders, finished the wool series, read uglies a d started 11/22/63. Still not sure when I'm returning to work. (had ACL surgery)"At least you have something good (and LONG) to help you through it! Good luck on your recovery.
I'm reading
and really enjoying it. Also
and trying to finish
which I started in a classroom on my lunch break a few months ago and just picked up again.
Jason wrote: "Hoping to get both Black Holeand The Marriage Plot read before next Tuesday."Gee, I wonder why you'd want to be done with those by Tuesday, the 24th!:) (TWTTK, right?)

LOL, I'm hoping to be done with 11/22/63 by then too!!
Thanks for the sentiments about my knee :) Lying around on the couch does have some advantages!
Odd, so many of us are hoping to be done reading our current books by Tuesday. It's almost like there is something coming out that day that we are all looking forward too. : )
I'm hoping to be done with my book by Tuesday too. Though I wonder how long it will take my pre-ordered copy to actually arrive in hand. Hope I don't have too many days without a book at all.

Hi, Dani.:) You are very welcome. I would think that having knee surgery would be very painful.. you have my many sympathies. Please get well soon. Meanwhile, enjoy the heck out of 11/22/63, and that special "something" that everyone seems to be waiting for on Tuesday...
Loved the Vampire Chronicles... disliked the movies. They took 2 books, combined them together, and created a hybrid movie. I much prefer to read the books, there's way more information, back ground, history in a book, that you just cannot fit into a two hour movie. Currently I am reading "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and also "Everything's Eventual" by Stephen King. Also, a few other books, that have been put on the side burner.
Hi, Jennifer-I wholeheartedly agree with you about the Vampire Chronicles books... it would be impossible to convey everything into a two-hour movie. Anne Rice's writing is utterly beautiful (albeit sometimes a bit wordy,) full of so much professionalism, exquisiteness, and grace.
After starting the year reading Stephen King's newer novel 11/22/63 and Bag of Bones, I then read several Mary Jane Clark, daughter in law of Mary Higgins Clark, KEY News murder mysteries. Like many, I like to take a break after reading several books from the same series. Therefore, I went back and started reading Stephen King's Duma Key.

Like you Dani, I, also, will be having surgery. May 2, for torn rotator cuff. Hence having recently checked out larger Stephen King novels from the public library, such as Duma King, Under The Dome and IT. Will have 4 - 6 weeks recovery time before I can use my arm for other things such as driving and cleaning the house. Looking forward to plenty of time to read. :)
