I just read Oryx and Crake, which a lot of people were talking about, but I did not find it that great of a book.

Thank you again for sharing this Charlene. I was able to DVR it and just watched it tonight. Fascinating and well done doc.
Dustin wrote: "Are you enjoying The Green Mile, Courtney?"I am. Unfortunately, I've seen the movie so many times I'm having a hard time not picturing the characters as the actors who played them.

I couldn't agree more. That was a well written series, and by the end I was spent, tired and yet wanting more. I miss those kids... :)
just found Lee child and I,m hooked ,read 61hours then worth dying for. I have just found killing floor which is the first book in the Jack Reacher series.
I just started World War Z by Max Brooks. It was recommended by a friend. Has anyone else read it? I am on the fence about zombies...... I need to start reading some of my King books that I haven't gotten to yet. There are just so many books out there that I want to read, and not enough time to read them all!

Hi Angi,
I read World War Z a few years ago and enjoyed it. It's not your typical zombie fair so it may be worth giving it a go even if you aren't a fan of things like The Walking Dead.
I am currently reading Lights Out Tonight from Mary Jane Clark's KEY News series. It is the 5th one I've read in this series, as well as To Have and To Kill from her Wedding series. However, with Shoulder Surgery coming up May 2, I might have to read one of Stephen King's epic large novels like Under The Dome to keep me occupied. :)
Soon to be finished with Angel Time then onto Grim Reaper: End of Days while waiting for The Bone House. Hopefully there will be more soon :)

I've heard good things about it, as well.. though I haven't read it, myself.

Hi Angi! I thought WWZ was awesome. Brad Pitt is making a movie from it, though I have no idea how that will turn out. The book, though? Really unique.
Finally finished 1Q84 and have mixed feelings about it but overall liked it.Starting on The Moon is a Harsh Mistress now.
I have just finished One Day by David Nichols really enjoyed it, still currently reading Dark Matter By Michelle Paver and Personally, I blame my fairy godmother By Claudia Carroll
Has anyone read Child 44? Thinking I might read that once I drag myself through the last 300 pages of Under the Dome!
David wrote: "Has anyone read Child 44? Thinking I might read that once I drag myself through the last 300 pages of Under the Dome!"Child 44 is definitely worth reading. It is part of a series also, but the story can be read stand alone.
David wrote: "Has anyone read Child 44? Thinking I might read that once I drag myself through the last 300 pages of Under the Dome!"Child 44 is a great book. It is the first part of the Leo trilogy which I have read and loved. Well worth the read.
David wrote: "Wizard and Glass by King and Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin"Two of my favorite books! Enjoy...

Wow that is quite a commitment! I also want to re-read my Stephen King books from the beginning but I'm not committing to reading all of them in one year. Really looking forward to The Wind Through The Keyhole as well since Wizard And Glass is my favorite DT novel. Good luck!
Mummi wrote: "just finished Flowers for Algernon...superb! 5/5 I cannot recommend it too much ;-)"Flowers for Algernon is soo good! I haven't even thought about that book for years.
I am reading Forsaken and am really enjoying the creepy build up. I can't wait to finish it.
I just started reading Dismember last night when I finished my Vinc e Flynn book... I wanted to mix it up a little bit. I was hooked from the extremely gory introduction.Dismember

I attempted to read this book once Angi but I am with you. Not into the zombie thing and not real sure I even want to attempt it.

World War Z was a fine idea but badly executed. It would have been better in shortstory form I think...

"Oh, I doubt I'll be able to do it all in a year, there are too many other books I want to read too! I figure it will take me two years at the rate I want to maintain. :D It's neat to read them in order since I can better see the flow of thought and how things relate to each other. Not to mention how SK has changed as an author!
