That's a great idea, Bondama, because you've recommended a lot of good ones!

It all depends on what you like? If you want to read more from Asmiov, I would recommend Robots of Dawn because this is the one that really starts Foundation, and is actually is the one that connects his robot novels and foundation novels together.

It seemed pretty well researched to me. Lots of specifics. I just assumed that the tannery Dani worked at was different than the tannery Kealan wrote about.

You do not sound like a dork...at the comment box to the right there is the add book/author link just click on it and make sure you choose cover for the cover of the book otherwise it will just be the link to the book. I hope this helps. :)

message 2116: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I like the bookcover feature, but my brain does not compute when bookcovers are used in place of text. They are generally too small to see (even on my big monitor) so sentences almost always sound like "I'm currently reading _______ and want to get to ________ soon." in my head. LOL

Me too, but I just discovered that, if you let the cursor hover over the book cover, it will tell you the title and author in a little box.

message 2121: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Yes, I am aware of that, Mary. I usually don't bother though. The "sentence" is already incomplete in my head from reading through the first time, and unless it's really intriguing and piques my curiosity, I don't bother to take the extra time to use the decoder ring.

A.R. (arbraun) I'm glad to see some don't like the add book/author function because, honestly, sometimes I forget to use it!

message 2126: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) A. R. wrote: "I'm glad to see some don't like the add book/author function because, honestly, sometimes I forget to use it!"

No, I love the feature... I just can't get my brain to equate a tiny picture of the bookcover with the title. The title is what I equate with the book.

Pictures just throw me all off, so it ends up just leaving a gap where the title should be. Even when it's a cover I know... *shrug*

But then I still insist on spelling out full words in text messages, so take that for what it's worth. ;)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 612 comments I'm slowly working on Cat o' Nine Tales Cat O'Nine Tales by Jeffrey Archer , reading one story here and there. Never read this author before, but I love short stories, and it was only $1 at the dollar store, so it's worth a try. Not sure what I think yet, the stories are a little strange, but interesting.

Hi Charlene! This will be the first time I've ever read it. I'm pretty excited about it! I've seen the movie a few times when I was a kid, but I know reading the book will be a whole new experience. :)
