I am still reading Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons but I have also started on The Priest's Graveyard by Ted Dekker.

Yesterday, I finished Fluke: Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings. I love his books. This morning, I started reading Relic. This is my first read from this series. Not very far but intriguing so far.
Nick wrote: "A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin."Great read. I just recently read this myself. I need to dive into the second one soon.
I just thought I would let everyone know that I picked up the hardcover of Just After Sunset for $7 yesterday on the B&N bargain tables. Take a look if you go there soon.
im 11% into the stand! its taking me forever on my kindle! but i looove the characters, i love how he explains in detail about all of them! its a great book so far
I'm re-reading
Pet Sematary
. I have to say, it's been so long since last time, I can't remember anything except what was mentioned in
Insomnia
. Well, hello there, Gage.
You know, in the museum that's in the basement of the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado -= (the basis for the Overlook) there's a giant pic of the King himself, dressed as the bandleader "Gage Creed and his orchestra"
Bondama wrote: "You know, in the museum that's in the basement of the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado -= (the basis for the Overlook) there's a giant pic of the King himself, dressed as the bandleader "Gage ..."Oh wow, that is creepy! :D

It's been about six years since I've read Insomnia, as well. But what is mentioned in it about Pet Sematary?

Right now I am reading "Thinner", one of King's Bachmann books. Since, until now, I have been reading some of his more well know novels, I have not had the chance to read his Bachmann novels, but so far I am enjoying the darker tone that pervades "Thinner".

WOW, thank you very much, Susanna!!
I really appreciate that a lot.:)
Scott wrote: "I just thought I would let everyone know that I picked up the hardcover of Just After Sunset for $7 yesterday on the B&N bargain tables. Take a look if you go there soon."Yep - my B&N had a whole stack of them. But I just bought the PB the other day. LOL
Hello All,I'm still reading A Game of Thrones and will continue to read through the series, and A Dance with Dragons when it comes out. But I just picked up The Gunslinger, the first book of King's Dark Tower series, from a used book store and will probably read that after. :)
Pet Sematary was a good book by Stephen King but I think many of his other works are better.
I finished Relic last night. I really enjoyed it. I feel that it got a little bogged down toward the end but a good read none the less. Now I'm going to finish Dekker's Circle Trilogy but reading White.
Ok, I finished The House on Durrow Street, and though I'm really depressed now b/c the next book in that series is not out and I have no clue when it will be out, I'm going to do the only thing I know to do to cheer me right up, and that's read me some SK. Gonna start The Stand as soon as I get off the computer :)
Don't know what to read next. Can't choose from the books sitting on my nightstand:The Maze Runner (and sequel)
Rogue Clone (and sequel)
The Strain
City of Ashes
The Art of Racing in the Rain
So I'm rereading the Count of Monte Cristo on my kindle (gotta love free classics)!
Jaime,I just finished The Maze Runner and it's sequel The Scorch Trials. I'm a little conflicted on these because while I think the actual story itself is really, really good, the prose is fairly weak. Overall, I'd say go for it because they're both exciting reads; just don't dive in expecting "literature". I am looking forward to the third installment this autumn.

Hey Jamie if you haven't decided yet what to read (I am a little late so you probably have) but the Maze Runner is fabulous!
Finished The Circle Trilogy: The Complete Trilogy in One Epic Edition.Started Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone this morning. I can't believe that I haven't read this yet.
Erica wrote: "I just started Storm Front: Book One of the Dresdon Files by Jim Butcher."I enjoyed that one. It was a quick read.
Erica- The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher is a fantastic series, IMO! Eva- I simply cannot praise The Passage highly enough!!:)
@Tracy - I decided on The Maze Runner, so far so good!!Scott - I cannot believe you haven't read the HP series! You are in for a treat, each one is better than the last. Hope you enjoy it...
Jaime wrote: "@Tracy - I decided on The Maze Runner, so far so good!!Scott - I cannot believe you haven't read the HP series! You are in for a treat, each one is better than the last. Hope you enjoy it..."
Glad to hear Jamie, let me know what you think!
Jaime wrote: "Scott - I cannot believe you haven't read the HP series! You are in for a treat, each one is better than the last. I'm almost done with the first one and it is really enjoyable. I'm surprised at how closely the movie followed the book. That doesn't happen very often.

The movies branch off a bit more as you get later in the series, but that's mostly because they get so massive after the 3rd one. I second Jaime, they really are absolutely fantastic, and I have re-read them multiple times without ever losing that initial feeling of wonder.
Right now I'm about half-way through The Handmaid's Tale. Despite the fact that it is often pigeonholed as "feminist," it reminds me quite a lot of King's work, just without the language and gore. It's just as frightening as books like The Stand, if not more so, because the horror is presented very simply and almost matter-of-fact.
Finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I really enjoyed it.Started On Writing on the commute home (light rail) yesterday. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times.
I started The Talisman yesterday. I'm about 60 pages into it, and I'm really liking it! It reads differently than the other King I've read, but I'm assuming it's just because he was writing with Straub. I'm having a hard time putting it down!
Hello, Jess-That is wonderful news! I love The Talisman!
After you're done with it, do you plan on tackling Black House?
Ι am currently reading Under the dome.I've read 70 pages so far and I like it a lot although there is much blood and violence.
I'll finish The Stand today, and then I'm either going to read Black: The Birth of Evil by Ted Dekker, or The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly.
