I am reading Misery for the first time. I'm only 30 pages in but I like it so far! I love Stephen King's ability to write so chaotically!
Hi, Erica & Lindsay!First, The Passage is a fantastic read, IMO. I cannot wait for Book II. And Linday, Misery really means a lot to me, as it introduced me to the Stephen King Universe!

Does anyone have any idea when book 2 is coming out? I can't wait. I don't think it's till 2012. I'll have to research that!
"The Passage" was the last 5-star book I've read. Don't know when Book 2 is coming out but am looking forward to it.

I really liked The Passage when I read it, but I had a few issues with it (that mostly went away when I figured out that it was the first of a series... LOL - I generally try to stay as ignorant as possible regarding books I want to read as I can.)...
I am totally looking forward to the next book in the series though. I NEEEEEEED to know what happens. EEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Sorry.
...Is that your dog? O_o
Just finished Under the Dome and LOVED IT!!!!!It was one of those (to me) on the bicycle, feet on the handlebars, riding down hill stories.

I really want to read this one.
Hey, Dustin! :)I've definitely had people tell me they absolutely won't read a book because it's too big! It's sad really, they are missing so much! :(

Same thing has happend to me. Also, I would rather read the unabridged version of a book than the abridged version.
I completely agree, Kevin! I would never read an abridged version of a book. I just don't see the point of it! If I want to read a book, I want to read everything the author wanted in there in the first place!
Me too Kevin. It annoys me that abridged versions even exist. I think they should have big red "ABRIDGED!!!" labels on them. LOL I went through several copies of The Count of Monte Cristo before I found an unabridged version. I was not thrilled.

To me it seems like such a waste of time! And to have some random person cut stuff, it just doesn't seem right to have such power over an author's work!
I also for the same reason don't like abridged audio books unless its for a certain reason, like the only audio verson of the book or wanting to see what part of the book is cut off.
I will say that the abridged audio of World War Z is great. It is done as a dramatization, and I loved it. I would have loved it more had it been unabridged, but taken on its own as a performance, it's definitely worth a listen. Otherwise, I don't like abridged audio either.
Sai King mentioned in one of the DT audios (Wolves, I think) that he doesn't allow abridgements of his work.
Just finished Horns this afternoon, and it was awesome! But I'm sad, because I want more JH books and there is no more yet... :(Not sure what I'll be moving onto next yet.
About 2/3 of the way through Fated. Great, quick, sometimes laugh out loud funny novel about fate and love and relationships.
I’m about halfway through The Distant Hours, by Kate Morton. It’s about the old secrets uncovered when a long-lost letter turns up years later. The mysteries revolve around an English castle, the sisters who once lived there with their father (an author) and what happened to drive the youngest sister mad. I’m digging it immensely.
What better place than this to say I am having a Stephen King month. I am currently listening to Under the Dome on Audio, Reading The Wastelands in paperback, and I just started Salem's Lot on my Kindle. I am loving all of them so far.
I recently finished Full Dark, No Stars also. I loved it! The whole thing felt extremely real to me. I'm usually able to put myself into the characters with most of his stuff, but this one in particular.
Wow, I just finished Insomnia! I didn't realize there were so many DT references, and I haven't even read the series yet! (I know, I know...) Not an absolute favourite but I liked Insomnia.Next, a departure from the worlds of Uncle Stephen: The Great Gatsby.
