I read
over the weekend, and it wasn't too bad, expanded on the characters a little bit and with a touch more details than the movie gives. Working on
now, but only on page 5 so far.
Hi, Rachel! You're really flying through it...WOW. I'm also reading To Kill A Mockingbird (re-reading it, actually.)
Kevin wrote: "The Fountainhead is a really amazing book. I want to know what you thought of it after you are done. I love it."I'm actually reading her backwards because I read Atlas Shrugged first. (Gave it 3 stars.) But since I'm reading The Fountainhead, it says something already, doesn't it? 100 pages into it and so far I like it.

I loved the Fountainhead, it brings out the good in people even under tough time to be who they are no matter what others or society tell them. Atlas Shrugged just for me went on way to long, not as great of a book, but better for times like these.
Rachel wrote: "This is a reread for me as well. I read it back in the 8th grade."That's great, Rachel. I love re-reads...especially one's that stand the test of time, as this one clearly does!
Dustin wrote: "WOO-HOO, I finished To Kill A Mockingbird tonight...plus I began Full Dark, No Stars!!!"Yay, Dustin! I know how it feels to finally finish something that you've been working on for awhile. I just might have a party after I finish Les Miserables! It's only taken me over a year! lol
Reaf Full Dark no Stars which was great. Now moved on to The Electric Church and its sequels by Jeff Somers which so far is superb.

Yeah..ONLY a year, huh, Kathy!?!

I know, I know. Crazy, huh? It's just so dense....I kept having to take vacations. lol.
Started Beyond Exile: Day by Day Armageddon. I always seem to fall back on zombies when I need some quick reading.
Becky wrote: "I'm starting Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson right now on my nook. :)"Crap. Now you're going to get ahead of me and finish the series before I can. I'm going to have to get a move on.
*I must finish Wizard and Glass this weekend*
Not if you hurry... I'm also reading Fragile Things and an ARC I got for review that I have to read ASAP - Rotters.
I think its a lost cause. I really want to start the next DT book after I finish W&G THIS WEEKEND and I have to finish Night Watch to which is a quick read.

I know the feeling. I was just giving you a hard time, Kathy!

I know, Dustin. I've just been pretty frustrated w/ my progress w/ it. Great story, but a challenging read. Mr. Hugo definitely likes to hear himself talk. (So to speak. lol)
Hooray! I just finished the Dark Tower Series (all in January) Which was a huge goal of mine! Now I'm off to "Hearts in Atlantis" since my husband has been nagging me to read it :D
Rebecca wrote: "Hooray! I just finished the Dark Tower Series (all in January) Which was a huge goal of mine! Now I'm off to "Hearts in Atlantis" since my husband has been nagging me to read it :D"That is a big accomplishment. I have been reading them intermittently for last few months and I'm only just finishing up #5. I could have probably done it in two months but not one. Good for you.
Rebecca -- "Hearts in Atlantis" is one of King's very, very best collections. You'll even meet an old friend from the Dark Tower in the first novella,...
Bondama wrote: "Rebecca -- "Hearts in Atlantis" is one of King's very, very best collections. You'll even meet an old friend from the Dark Tower in the first novella,..."I hope in the movie, they still have Anthony Hopkins reprising the role.
Now, Kevin. If I just told Bondama she might want to flag her comment for spoilers, is it really a good idea to quote that comment and then add to the spoiler by spoiling it more? That said, I agree with you. But it's still a spoiler.
Kathy wrote: "How did you like it, Rebecca? I love that series and am slowly working my way through reread #1! :)"
I LOVED it!!! Now it's time to work on the dark tower related books, I've already read a few and my husband started hounding me about several others while I was reading the DT series, but I cannot skip around in reading books or I start getting things mixed up.

There are so many Dark Tower references throughout alot if not most of King's books, that it is so hard to catch them all. It's really cool when I do, though. :)

I just finished Wolves of the Calla. It was fantastic.Even though I didn't plan on it, I'm going to continue on the journey with Song of Susannah.

I was really blown away by the connection to Salem's Lot at the end of Wolves of the Calla.
