E-books are generally not "free to read". Fools, ignoramuses, and morally bankrupt "pirates" may tell you differently, but if in doubt, look at the uploader.

If the uploader is not the author or the publisher, be very wary. If the uploader has been deleted or banned or expelled from Scribd (for example), use your common sense.

Scribd is a reputable site. It doesn't remove authors and publishers as members. It does remove persons who infringe copyright and are caught.

If you go to http://freeromancereads.weebly.com/in... you will see this message:

"This site is basically an ongoing list of free to read, romance e-books that I find online, along with the links as to where I found them."

Don't believe the blurb! I asked one of my friends whose book is listed as "free", and she was outraged.
