I'm sorting my books by genre. What genre is the Dark Hunter series?
Paranormal?
Vampire?
Mythology?

message 53: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments It can be all three.

I have it tagged as PNR, mythology, and fantasy-supernatural.

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks, Shari-amor

message 55: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Most welcome

How do I post pictures?

message 57: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Thanks to our lovely Bozena, she posted it in message 51 for someone else. But in case you missed it here ya go.

try this: write < img src="......."/img > between quote marks you should put the link of your pic and it's done :)

*there should be no space between brackets and word "img"

Carlena | 1753 comments Romance Bookaholic wrote: "How do I post pictures?"

do you have a facebook? If you do and you upload a pic there, go to the picture in your albums and look at it. then reload the page. you should now be on a page specific for the pic. right click on it and click copy pic url. there you have it! and it wont link back to your facebook if youre worried about privacy! :) and then you can do < img src=" the url here "/img > make sure there is no spaces except in between img and src.

message 59: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Well I'll be....I didn't know. Thanks for that info pumpkin pie. I'm gonna try that out right now

message 60: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Thanks for finding an alternative Care Bear.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

The last book in the Dark Hunter series I read was Dark Side of The Moon. I am really anxious to get to Ash's story and I saw that Dream Hunter is next in book order. Do I need to read this book and the Dream Hunter books or can I go right to the next Dark Hunter read?
The Dream Hunter book didn't seem to get a lot of great reviews.

message 62: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Dream Hunter has critical characters that will be in Ash's story so that one is a must read

message 63: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Actually that one is the most important dream hubter book when it comes to Ash's story

message 64: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments *hunter

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Duly noted, thanks Shari.

message 66: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments ^_^ Welcomes. The other dream hunter books, you can pretty much skip though. They arent really necessary to understand the dark hunters. A few are future allies but thats it. I read them and they aren't my fav. I think I really only loved one.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Even better. Ok I will read the next Dream Hunter book. I know you guys have read way more than I have, but I am so stoked to getting close to Ash's story!

message 68: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Wow Marta, I'm amazed. I thought you were further along in the series. But yea you won't be disappointed.

Shari does make a good point. I would advise reading Jericho's book too. I can't recall the name at the moment. But you might want to be informed on some of the big bads for when you get ready to read the Guardian.

*hangs head in shame* lol, just got distracted Cherale! Ready to catch up!

message 70: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Haha it's all good. Life happens and there is never NOT a good time to pick SK's stuff up again. :)

Oh and Dream Warrior is the Jericho story. Aside from some interesting tidbits here and there and the bad guys. It wasn't uber interesting but still good to know about.

message 71: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Oh yeah thats right. Dream Warrior is a must read as well. Forgot about that one. Yeah that introduces important future baddies.....Well uh hold up, Cherale isnt One Silent Night and the one with Xypher gonna introduce our one green eyed and brown eyed broker and his maybe?? brother. I don't wanna give names to not spoil it for Marta. Hopefully you know the two I'm talking about

message 72: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Yea, I know who your talking about. But One Silent Night is Stryker's story actually. Pivotal stuff in there of course. But the one you are talking about is Dream Chaser. So yea that one has the broker in there too.

Haha, dude this is why I try to never really discount a SK book in her combined DH,WH, and Dream-hunter series. As they all flow so close together and entwined. That if you think of skipping one there is always enough of a hint here or there about this person or that story lead that is crucial at another point in time.

message 73: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Right. I forget about the little hints and the characters that pop up.

In Stryker's story though, we meet the counterpart to the Malachai, who is pivotal in the future.

Yeah Marta, I hate to tell ya darlin, you might wanna check them out as well. I tried to get you to stir clear lol and not suffer through those

message 74: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oooooooh you are talking about the other dude now that had the little dude Simi got a teddy bear for. Yea he is important too.

We also learn about another advantage the Daimons get via Stryker's love interest. Although not sue if it's in that book or Fang's book. Hmm.

Lol, you can do it Marta-Nicky!!! Actually what was the last SK book you have read? I swear they go so fast sometimes you don't even mind for the most part.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, it's all good! I will keep to the reading order. it's SK, can't go wrong with reading any of her books. Thanks guys.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

^^Okay I made it through Dream Hunter. Wasn't bad but not one of my favorites. Just wanted to let you know that I'm being a little trooper and making my way slowly but surely to Acheron. :)

message 77: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Lol Go Marta. ^_^

message 78: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Haha, way to go Marta.

message 79: by Kiah (new)

Kiah (tuki06) | 5 comments I just started Kiss of the Night- Wulf and Cassandra's story and I'm confused. Wulf is talking with Talon and the conversation they are having makes it sound like Talon hasn't met Sunshine yet. Do these books take place at the same time? Wulf in Minnesota and Talon in New Orleans only at the same point on the timeline? TIA!

message 80: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Yes that's exactly it. Both stories happen around the same time but from each of their POVs.

message 81: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments That conversation that Talon and Wulf were having back in the beginning of Talons story. This is it but it's taking place from Wulfs side

message 82: by Kiah (new)

Kiah (tuki06) | 5 comments Thanks Shari-amor you rock! I thought I had missed something especially since Zareks book was in between I thought it was a bit weird but this makes sense now.

message 83: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments You're very welcome and don't worry I was just as confused when I got to Wulf's book. I thought I had bought Talon's book again by accident.

message 84: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Also got to remember in SK's world. She lives to tell the same story from different people's perspectives during the same point in time. So you'll for sure see that with Vane and Fang's book later on. Which I have to admit is kind of cool. Cause you rarely see what is going down in someone else's world on the same night around the world so to speak.

message 85: by Kiah (new)

Kiah (tuki06) | 5 comments Thanks DHfan4life that is super helpful to know that it will happen again and to know what to expect.

message 86: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments No problem. :)

message 87: by Cindi (new)

Cindi (ourtrumpcard) | 534 comments In "Son of No One", why is Ash wearing a mask over his eyes ?

message 88: by Charlotte, Cheesy Cakes (new)

Charlotte (charkro) | 1798 comments Actually, Ash is wearing sunglasses. He still wears them around people he doesn't know. =)

message 89: by Cindi (new)

Cindi (ourtrumpcard) | 534 comments Ah, duh. Forgot about the 1,000 years in a hole thing...

message 90: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Thanks for answering, Charlotte ^_^

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't know if this has been asked before but who's the the father of Karma's kid (Ian)? because people are anything it's either thorn, stone, or Nick. And it's really confusing me(mostly because I haven't read all the books...)

It hasn't been stated yet and if it happens to have been been hinted at more in Instinct (which I haven't read yet) please discuss it in that BOTM.

message 93: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Yea, the only real somewhat hint about Ian's parentage is in Karma's acquaintance with Thorn. Although nothing is specifically stated. Just in small stuff between Thorn and Karma in Son of No One. Beyond that, there is no info on Ian or his dad too much til that book.

message 94: by Slick (new)

Slick | 456 comments Not a big fan of ThornXKarma.... I hope it is somebody else s kid and they are just friends.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

I would laugh if Ian his son.

So far I've seen Karma has enough lady balls to handle him to be honest.

B.B. | 43 comments When posting books for challenges, what do I need to do in order for the picture and link to show up?

message 98: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Do you see the add book/author at the top of the comment box, B.B.? All you have to do is click that, a search box pops up and you type in the name of the book or the author name and you can just add the book or the name directly.

message 99: by B.B. (new)

B.B. | 43 comments Oh, okay. I don't see the option when using my iPad or phone. Is it not an option when using the app? Thank you for helping me.

message 100: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hmm that is strange. I'm not sure about the app, but we'll see if Shari may know.

Hey Shari have you heard about any issues with the add book/author button on the phone or Ipad app?
