Pass me a cranberry scone, would you?

message 2603: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Javier? Be a sweet and get our dear Cynthia a scone.

Coming right up, Cynthia.

message 2604: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments That Javier. Such a love.

message 2605: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Isn't he?

Poor thing is always so hot and sweaty from helping out. He almost always has to take off his shirt. I feel bad but what can you do?

message 2606: by Félix (last edited Jun 11, 2013 10:57AM) (new)

Félix (habitseven) Cynthia wrote: "That Javier. Such a love."

I think his accent is probably fake. His real name is Bubba.

message 2607: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments It is not! He was born in Tuscany! I met his mama just the other day.

message 2608: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments We do have a Bubba. He helps with the animals. A real cowboy. He is always asking me if I need a ride on the back of his horse to here or there.

message 2609: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Oh my.

message 2610: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments It is almost too hard to live here.

message 2611: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) TWSS

message 2612: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments So much beauty. It hurts the eyes. I'm going to go and lie by the pool now. Pass me a nice tall lemonade, someone.

And PLEASE tell Javier to stop borrowing my shoes, Susan. He's out of control.

message 2613: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Love you guys.

message 2614: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments So that's where my knee-high boots went!

message 2615: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Javier/Bubba stole susan's boots?

message 2616: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Javier.

message 2617: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4443 comments He's peeling a grape for Cynthia.

message 2618: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments He looks good in my boots. Fucker.

message 2619: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Oh, Javier. Those boots make your backside even lovlier. More wine, Susan?

message 2620: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oh, yes please!

Those boots do have a great heel. They are hell to get off though, so I will never get to wear them again.

message 2621: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Get off

Heh.

message 2622: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Heh, heh.

message 2623: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Is he wearing nothing but those boots? Javier Bardem?
really, guys?

message 2624: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Oh he is wearing clothes. He keeps taking his shirt off, though, he gets so hot and sweaty doing all of those chores for Susan and me. No relation to Mr. Bardem.

message 2625: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Oh, so he's just a spanish pool boy of your imagination?

message 2626: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Susan and I have wonderful imaginations. It helps us get through the day. I think his father is Spanish, his mother is Italian. His eyes are simply dreamy.

message 2627: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Yes, they are.

Quit stomping through the beautiful world we have created, Sally.

(You can even drink here. The babe will never know.)

message 2628: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Come on and have a seat, Sally. Javier gives amazing foot rubs. You look like you could use a foot rub. He does a mean pedicure, if you ask him nicely.

message 2629: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Where is Jean-Luc? Sally needs a shoulder/neck rub during her pedicure.

message 2630: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Oh he is in town. We ran out of Prosseco.

message 2631: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Good thinking. We cannot have that!

We need more Limoncello, too. I will text him.

message 2632: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Tell him to bring an armload of peonies for my punch bowl. He knows how to arrange flowers, doesn't he?

message 2633: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Yes, he is fantastic with arrangements! He taught me a wonderful trick for a homemade frog to keep any size stem in place.

Hmmm. I feel we need a nice little luncheon today. Shall we do finger sandwiches and caprese salads or something else?

message 2634: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Oh Good Lord that sounds good. We can have some of my lemon tart for dessert. You are just full of great ideas!

message 2635: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oh, yes! Your lemon tart for dessert sounds positively divine!

We are slightly dangerous together, my dear Cynthia. I quite love it.

::snaps fingers::

Boys, we need the shade cabana ready for lunch.

message 2636: by Susan (last edited Jun 26, 2013 07:58AM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments And for our cocktail party this evening, we will light up the water feature:

message 2637: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Oh, YES.

We really shouldn't be the only ones chatting here, Susan. Where did the rest of our guests go to? Sally, come on over! We've got plenty of delicious sammiches for our favorite pregnant gal!

Oh, I think she's moving to a new house. Should we send the boys over to help?

message 2638: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Did someone say lemon tart?

message 2639: by Susan (last edited Jun 26, 2013 08:18AM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I sent the boys to help Sally. What else can we do for her? Should we ready a lovely nap area?

J9! So wonderful of you to join us! Anything special you would like? What shall we do for entertainment today?

message 2640: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments It is impossible to spoil the land of Susynthia.

Besides, we have a GETOFFAMYLAWN sign out front.

Now come and have some lemon tart with us, Barbalina.

message 2641: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Barb wrote: "I hit the googles up to find a silly picture of a tarted up lemon, but sadly all I got was legitimate (and delicious looking) tarts."

Barb I made it the other day for my daughter's orphan pal. I can post the recipe. It is kind of a shortbread crust with lemon curd filling. Lemon curd: lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, butter, five eggs, cooked slowly and whisked then cooled.

message 2642: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments D. Rool.

Post recipe!!

message 2643: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments OK, I will.

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
I love lemon anything. Lemon yogurt certainly. And I go through about a quart a day of lemonade right now.

message 2648: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Woooo!

Thread name changymaroo!

::gets Sally some lemonade::

message 2649: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I'm looking through recipes of cakes to make. I think I want to make three. I have a cheesecake that is to be served with red berries, the second cake is rich and chocolate-y, now I just need something fresh that incorporates lemon. That way everyone should be able to find a cake they like. Maybe you can have your lemon recipes audition for me?

message 2650: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments This looks simple which might be good since you plan on making three desserts:
