What is The Neighbors?

message 2552: by Youndyc (new)

Youndyc | 1255 comments Funny sit-com with a neighborhood full of aliens and this NJ couple that buys the only unit in the neighborhood that comes up for sale. All the aliens have named themselves after sports figures. Dick Butkiss is the weird younger alien kid. The older, Asian son is named "Reggie Jackson." The mom is Jackie Joyner-Kersy and the dad is Larry Bird.
I recommend it if you are looking for something silly to watch. I think it has been terribly overlooked

I'm looking at the seating chart for Carnegie Hall. The cheapest seats are obstructed view, but there's one sad seat that's obstructed view AND restricted leg room. Omg! Too funny.

message 2568: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4443 comments They can't give it away, probably.

They should donate it to an amputee every concert.

Swedish mannequins that look more like real women have been very popular.

Hull-less (how do you spell that? 3 "l's"?) popcorn is not actually hull-less. It's better, but there are still bits.

$845,000 in Manhattan gets you a 2-bedroom condo with a tiny kitchen: a less than fullsize fridge, and a two burner cooktop. Seriously? Two burners? Even the studio I lived in had four burners and a fullsize fridge.

I have really crusty boogers that are fun to pick.

Too bad I caught myself picking one in front of my father in law on the balcony of their room at the fancy-ass Broadmoor.

Susan | 6406 comments This is more my style:

Half of the barn is converted into my art studio. ;)

message 2592: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments I like it, but I would like a neighbor or two within shouting distance. If I fall and bust a hip, I want someone to come running, and a good local hospital.

message 2593: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments A mile away consists of a metropolis with every accommodation you could want. Low crime. There is a giant community garden. Everyone works together and drops off goodies at each other's house every so often. I get Chinese delivery, of course.

message 2594: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Naturally. And Chicago-style deep dish pizza. With organic vegetables. And Italian delivery boys who look deeply into your eyes and say, Ciao, Bella. Grazie!

message 2595: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oh yes!

All of the delivery boys are stunning. And have accents. And offer to stay and help around the farm. They are lovely.

message 2596: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Oh, Susan.

Susan | 6406 comments All the ladies in the city are hot, too.

See. Something for everyone.

:)

message 2598: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments It almost gets tiresome, they are always stopping by, offering to clean out the gutters, glaze the windows, come on guys, don't you have anything else to do?

message 2599: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I know. If you say there is nothing for them to do, the poor things go all puppy dog eyes.

::sigh::

One is out back moving rocks for me, right now.

message 2600: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments One of them is braiding daisies into my hair. Those boys.
