I always am tempted to drink from mountain streams, but then I don't because of beaver fever. (Giardiasis.)

message 2408: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4443 comments I've had Giardia. Talk about abdominal cramps!

message 2409: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments Beaver fever sounds like something that will cost one of the guys a trip to the ficus.

message 2410: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Heh Janine.

message 2411: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Is beaver fever anything like cat scratch fever?

Susan | 6406 comments That kid clearly has it.

message 2414: by [deleted user] (new)

Giving kids candy as a reward for winning a competition in Sunday school does not necessarily foster a friendly, loving atmosphere...

My thoughts too, Janine.

I wouldn't be surprised if Giada had some kind of....internal or external pest or affliction. I'm just saying.

message 2421: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments She definitely has a very large head. Or a very small body.

message 2422: by [deleted user] (new)

Small body.

message 2423: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4443 comments She has an evil smile. Could be way too much chilli in what ever is on that fork.

message 2424: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I know I would not accept that bite of food.

message 2425: by [deleted user] (new)

I think she's quite sweet. I once made her fennel pot roast with cipollini onions. I wasn't so crazy about it, but our dinner guests were so in love they took all the broth home to make soup as well as the recipe!

message 2426: by [deleted user] (new)

I think I might be losing my mind.

message 2427: by [deleted user] (new)

If you find it please return.

You made Giada dinner?

message 2429: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Pretty ballsy.

message 2430: by [deleted user] (new)

Sure.

message 2431: by [deleted user] (new)

I am wearing a little black dress and stockings today. The stockings have a hole that is currently above the hem line. It is gradually making it's way down my leg. Grrrrrr.

message 2432: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments Clear nail polish will help if you have any. It can hold until you get home.

message 2433: by [deleted user] (new)

Phil the font of all knowledge. I don't have any nail polish, but thanks for the tip.

Wrap an Ace bandage around it and tell people you sprained your knee at lunchtime.

message 2435: by [deleted user] (new)

That could work. Then I could have a miraculous recovery after lunch when I have purchased a new pair.

message 2439: by Félix (new)

Phil | 11841 comments It's either a man with no package or a woman with no breasts.

message 2442: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4443 comments I'd say a man with no package. I think he is compensating with that erect tail.

This website is kind of fantastic and hilarious. People from every possible country record what they think is the proper pronunciation of any word or name. Here are a Brit, and an American, pronouncing gerontocracy:

message 2446: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments The Brit's version was much better, especially regarding the second "o."

I know. Foreigners, do not learn to speak English from that woman.

When I comment at the newspaper sites, people are all, "sir this" and "sir that" and "he" "he" "he". Everyone thinks I am a man. Why do we assume everyone is a man unless they state they are a woman?

Because we've got MALE on the brain.

message 2449: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Maybe you do.

message 2450: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments This guy has mail on the brain.
