Dammit.

Still, I am hoping you have an awesomely ass kickin' time, Barb.

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Angela: From what I've been told, Flu shots take about a week to kick in. I am guessing your flu was picked up some time before you got your shot.

Sorry you're sick, honey.

How do we know they already haven't?

Félix (habitseven) I'll never tell.

Angela~twistedmind~ (twistedmind) | 538 comments You can still get duct tape in plain old silver? Will wonders never cease. Since it's become such a fashion statement with the kids, I rarely ever see plain old silver duct tape.

I am just astonished at the hardcore pornographic images that come up after the most innocuous google searches. I mean REALLY !!!

message 1710: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe it is your subconscious desires coming through LG. I never get h.p. images when I Google.

Lobstergirl | 24788 comments Mod
Do you have safe search on because you have kids?

message 1712: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 23, 2011 08:02PM) (new)

I don't think "Hoovers and handcuffs" qualifies as innocuous...

message 1714: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I once though sitcoms were called that way because they're about people sitting, as opposed to the action/police procedural/detective genre for example, which is about people being out and doing stuff.

message 1715: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You did not.

I just marked seventeen pages of unread topics as read. As sure as I clicked Yes on "are you sure" I was sorry.

message 1726: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I do that more times than I care to think about.

Lobstergirl | 24788 comments Mod
I think moderators have to read every post.

message 1728: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Boy now I'm reeeeaaaaally glad I'm not one.

message 1729: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Exactly.

message 1730: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24788 comments Mod
Well, there are eight moderators. Maybe if they divide up all the reading between them.

message 1731: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I don't believe there are any rules about this.

message 1732: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments I read every post.

I suppose that means I have a sad, sorry little life. Or maybe I just read fast.

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
That's why I made Barb a mod. She's my reading deputy.

message 1734: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm feeling strangely tense and unsettled. Seeing way too many red numbers next to thread titles makes it worse. I must do it now to get relief. No! You can't make me read them. You just can't!

Larry feeling tense and unsettled. I dunno.

message 1738: by [deleted user] (new)

I find the red number comforting. It means when I'm bore there is always a source of entertainment sitting there waiting to be unlocked.

message 1739: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24788 comments Mod
Beta, you're never a bore.

message 1740: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) And we don't allow Beta blockers, either.

message 1741: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha it was supposed to be 'bored'...it was 2am when I made that post. My typing and editing skills fly out the window at that time of the morning.

message 1742: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Close the window.

speaking of poop (we weren't, but this is the apropos To nothing thread) I like to give Leah dried fruit. It absorbs water in her belly but is often un-broken down so it comes out whole and inflated. Hilarious. Craisins are our favorite.

message 1746: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Our favorite. I like that.

message 1747: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24788 comments Mod
Does she not have enough digestive juices? I'm not sure we're supposed to have giant Craisins in our poo.

::Craisin-free::

message 1748: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't recall undigested fruit with my kids. In my case blueberrys made the most memorable nappies to change.

Last night I went out with a stepladder to bring my geranium in (although turns out I didn't need to as they can withstand temps of 25F). I heard something scruffing around close by and I thought, WTF? Is there someone hanging around here at 12:30 a.m.? I looked over and saw a raccoon eating a bunch of grapes. This raccoon was not afraid of me at all. After I'd gotten down off the ladder and gone back inside, it came over to my door and hung out there for awhile. Eating something else, I don't know what.
