Crossers, Philip Caputo. Arizona-Mexico border from around 1900 to present as seen by one family. Author refers to Arizona Historical Society as source for one of the flash-back characters, but I didn't check to see if this was factual. The author was an award-winning reporter for a Chicago newspaper. Especially in light of the recent publicity the new Arizona law has received, I thought this was an excellent read that, while fiction, is in large part true and accurate. Will be one of my year-best Fiction choices.
9 Dragons, Michael Connelly. I've already posted my comments elsewhere, so I won't belabor them.
