I agree about the manga. I'm reading one now and not sure I like it. Very hard to read and I'm totally lost.

Just make sure you are reading the pages right to left as well as the book. I made that mistake the first time. I read the book backwards, but then I was trying to read each page left to right.

So did I. Then I turned to the back and realized there were directions on how to read it. That made things much easier.I'm reading one called Aqua. It's about characters who are gondoliers on planet Aqua. It's strange.

According to the actual book, there are 227. But the last few pages are chapters of the newest installment currently being written, so goodreads might not be counting it. That's fine to use the total that goodreads has. I didn't read those two chapters about the new book (I didn't want to be spoiled).

Stephanie, as far as I know (ok, as far as google told me!), the word "in" is not an article, so this book will count for the letter "i" instead of "h". Unless one of our many English teachers out there says I am wrong? I totally could be. (I was under the impression that there were only three (a, an, the))

No problem, Alyson. For all of the WT challenges we use the page count for the first book listed on GR. That keeps it fair for everyone and gives us a way to account for other formats, like audiobooks or e-books. (Your page count may be less, but it doesn't mean there were any less words!)
