Laura (thatlibrarianlady) I hate to seem all "OMG TWILIGHT" or whatever. I mean, I'm obviously enough of a fan that I went to a midnight showing. The things is, Eclipse was really good. It followed the book really well. It had all those moments I was desperately hoping they wouldn't skip over. It held my attention in a way the first two couldn't. And I noticed a huge step up in the acting from everyone involved.

Let's think back to Twilight and all the awkward moments that aren't really supposed to be awkward or all the things you giggled at that weren't really funny in the book. Or all the moments when Kristen Stewart was babbling and you were cringing and hoping she'd shut up soon. I mean, every time I watch that movie all I can think is, "you all could have done better." New Moon was definitely an improvement in that department but, let's be honest, it's difficult to sit through two hours of depression. Eclipse was just something else, a really good adaptation. What really caught my attention was the fact that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's scenes together looked effortless and comfortable. There was no awkward babbling or unreadable facial expressions.

My first instinct is to say that we owe David Slade for the difference. He's really the only thing that's changed.

Has anyone else seen this yet? Do you feel the same way about it?

I saw it. I agree..it was alot better! I don't know why though.

Next time I'm bringing a tranquilizer gun to take care of all the screaming children. Taylor Lautner breathes and they cheered! But anyways..yes..big improvement!

Hannah M. (mantranna) | 8 comments I definitely agree with you! New Moon and Eclipse were ten times better than the first movie, I just wish it was minus screaming teenage girls and grumpy boyfriend comments.

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments Jamie- lol. And it's not always just the children screaming, it's the middle aged women too!

Well that gives me hope. I enjoyed Eclipse the most out of the books, so I was hoping the book would be at least a little better than the other movies.

Funny thing that happened during the New Moon movie. My sister, who is 30, yelled at the screen. When Bella was bleeding and Jacob took off his shirt to stop the blood, she yelled "Bleed some more so he takes off his pants." No kidding. She is infamous for embarassing outbursts like that. :)

I thought it was amazing! The best one yet!

Laura (thatlibrarianlady) When I saw Eclipse someone who had obviously never read the books was there. When Bella asked Jacob to kiss her, a girl shouted "What?!" The whole theater laughed. I love going to the midnight showing to hear all the girls scream and giggle and yell out comments. I think it's funny, and it's part of the reason I go.

Sort of random, but fitting into the discussion. A friend/acquaintance from high school added me on facebook awhile back. She is an teacher and in the middle of illustrating her first children's book. She posted that she can't see what the big deal is with Twilight, and she didn't even get into the Harry Potter craze. The way it was all worded was like it was not important to bother reading. It was quite funny.

Jen (wishesandwanderlust) | 696 comments Related to Twilight but not really Eclipse. My cousin sent this to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCFnQF...

It's called the "I Wanna Be Like Edward Cullen Song"

There is this one too. It was actually filmed at my home town.

I wonder what type of scandal them walking down the street caused? :)

Spencer (spencerafreeman) LMAO! Omg Tami, I just watched that video at work and could NOT hold in the laughter! It's hilarious!! I shared it with people at my job and they had tears in their eyes from laughing so hard! Haha!! Sadly, the premise of the video is pretty darn accurate...

My cousin HATES Twilight and anything to do with it, but that is because his wife dropped everything and ingnored everything while she read and re-read the books over about 3 months. She was supposed to be doing bookeeping for his business during that time period too. :)
