Yeah I agree for sure. We're all just sharing our opinions here. I think it's possible that the Menoa tree took Saphira's eldunari or at least made her more aware of it than she was before.I get what you're saying Emma about her being able to "feel" that it was there. Like unconsciously she always could feel the presence of it (not physically but psychologically.
I guess we'll see when CP releases the book hey? There are some interesting theories floating around so I'm curious to see what actually happens.
Yeah I thought the eldunari can only be taken if the dragon no longer exists in the 'real world'I was thinking that menoa tree must have taken some kind of feelings away from eragon..that or it took away Saphira.
Emma wrote: "Well then you must have been an exceptionally smart fourth grader. And whoever else read them before fifth grade, that's great for you, but I don't need to know. I'm sure you can understand that it..."Well, I agree with you that it was childish for her to get mad about something so little.

Oh my gosh people chill out! It's not like it matters in the slightest what WE think the Menoa tree did. CP just needs to light a fire under his butt and get that book out before I EXPLODE!!
Maybe she gave Saphira the ability to greater show mercy, or something like that. To be a better person- or dragon, I mean. It's a hard lesson to learn for most of us, and a lot of times it can be painful. As for physical pain, maybe it's different for dragons than people.
Emma wrote: ""what will you give me in return?" not "what can I give you?" it just doesn't seem like the menoa would give something when she asked what she would get"yeah. i was kinda going off of the whole, taking-away-saphira's-ability-to-attack-in-cold-blood theory.
I'm baaack.Formerly known as Patricia,I had to delete my account because my brothers messed with it so bad it was beyond repair.Anywho anything written between the 1-5 of July wasn't me it was my demonic brothers
oh another evil person??? at least i know i'm not alone now!!!
yes laugh while you can but whatch our back and sleep with one eye open.
yes that is one of my favorite sayings, but what do you do about those who are your friends but turn out to be your enemies what do you do about them??
I don’t know why the tree would want to take his ability to have children. Plus wouldn’t that be something he’d have felt in the groin area? Though maybe it would be for the best the author says that humans and elves rarely have children together. Those half-elves that do exist are not immortal though very long lived. Would Eragon or even Arya want to have a child knowing their child would eventually succumb to death? While they are both immortal and will live forever unless killed in battle or some freak accident. Interesting theory Emma
Either way whatever the price he has to pay it will likely come to bite him in the rear. Just like the story that the Urgal chieftain told Eragon.
I do not know how long a half elf would live. What I know is that being a rider makes you immortal, it is not by birth.
hmm, about saphira being able to always feel it inside her, didn't she specify that it was just like knew about his stomach or some such thing? ill get the book and look it up
hmm, it seems she was able to sense it, rather the physically feel it. She was "aware" of it, so when he says she could feel it inside it seems more a mental feeling, which makes up a lot of the stuff anyways.
Yeah that's what I thought. It was more of an awareness that something was present, not that she could literally feel the eldunari just bouncing around inside her or something.
in book 1 when brom died he gave eragon a blessing. he whispered seven words from the ancient language, then even more softly told him what they meant. 'That is all I can give you... Use them only in great need.'" He hasn't used this blessing of seven words yet and it has been mentioned since. What might it be used for in book 4?
Emma wrote: "Well then you must have been an exceptionally smart fourth grader. And whoever else read them before fifth grade, that's great for you, but I don't need to know. I'm sure you can understand that it..."
I read them in 2-3 grade.Ha!
