I read in bed a lot once the kids are asleep. Otherwise sitting, standing, hiding in the bathtub, whatever. I take it however I can get it (heh) because if they notice me trying to read they harass me.

My attempts at appropriate comments are all in vein (vane).
Sitting, or lying on my back (propped with pillows), or on my right side. I have a really hard time reading on my left side, it just feels awkward and my eyes don't wotk correctly or something.

I usually read while stretched out in the easy chair located in the corner of my home office. Generally I wear a pair of ear warmers--the wrap-around 180 type-- whenever I read or write. This has nothing to do with noise or temperature problems. I just find it helps me concentrate...
I do it in multiple positions. I read newspapers at the table, I curl up with a book on the couch, back against a cushion, sitting either cross-legged or by legs stretched out like I'm in a chaise longue, I read in bed on my side, I read in the bathtub, and I read on the bus.I hate people who talk on their cell phones on the bus.

When I was a girl I had a friend who would read archie comics while she walked across the courtyard to come to my apartment. I would watch her from the window. I miss that friend. :(
I had a friend in college who did it quite often in the shower.
I like to do it bent over the desk, bracing myself on my forearms so I can move to the beat...of whatever I happen to be listening to while enjoying my book.
I'm a sloucher, either sprawled out on my bed leaning on my elbow or sunk back into the chair so you can only see my legs and book.

I usually read in bed on my side. I usually sleep on my side too which is probably why it's my most comfortable position.
I do it on the train and in bed with lots of pillows.
when my daughter goes off to college in a few weeks and I call and she says she has been doing a lot of reading, I am going to be worried!

At night, I usually find my wife doing it in bed. I figure, while the lights are on, I may as well pull mine out and do it too.
AND, she's always done before I am. When she's finished I feel like I should be too. I know she wouldn't mind if I just kept on going, but I hate to keep her up.

i like to do it in the evenings and in the mornings, in bed, or in a chair, sometimes on the floor, i also like doing it in public places or in public transportation, sometimes i do it with a group, but never in the bathroom, and never on my left side. sometimes i do it for a grade.
i love the way this thread has turned out LOLOLOL
It's always nice to have some quiet moments to do it alone, though frequently I'll talk about it later with others.

Sometimes I think about doing it -- usually when it's not possible. It's quite frustrating, actually.
I like doing it on the couch - leaning back with my legs up. Sometimes standing at the counter in the kitchen.
I like doing it when no one else is around to bother me......

I ask in part because I like to read on my back, with pillows, but lately I've been reading larger hardcovers and they're easier to read on my stomach.
