I have been putting some thought into starting a blog. I have been reading some of yours and they are great! I am lousy with web-stuff though...not sure if I would be able to make one that's all pretty like some of the ones I have seen, lol. I follow quite a few different ones think it would be fun. Just one more thing for me to get addicted to, lol.

A friend of mine has one that she is trying to get up off the ground so I thought I would put her on here. Maybe get her started and get her a bit of feedback.

At the moment, it contains a lot of book reviews due to the useful feature on this site that allows a review to be posted to it. However, it's just a generic blog and all sorts of stuff gets posted on there.

As for other blogs that I follow, the main one would be thepioneerwoman.com because I find her funny and her recipes look simple and yummie!

Then I paid google ten buks to remove 'blogspot' and opened another one in order to have a splash page. You can do the same with Wordpress so it looks like you've investing in a stand alone web page (we gotta look professional even though we're Dionysian artists).

Blogging is an excellent way to show your work, articles, reviews, or any other thoughts. Most are free, such as Blogger, which I'm part of. I post excerpts of my sci-fi, supernatural, romance novels on mine:

But the other good thing is, when I log into Blogger, it also tells me updates of the other Blogs I follow on its 'Dashboard'. I'm following a couple... heh heh!

I started my own blog just recently and I am completely addicted. (@K.R. I love that feature too! It's so easy to follow all my blogs right from the Dashboard.)
I post my own thoughts, book reviews (lots of PNR because, well, I love it!), and contests. In June I am co-hosting a Giveaway so check in for details on that coming soon and am also hosting my own when I reach 100. Still have a long way to go!
