How is the Strange Angels series? I keep glancing at them, but haven't picked one up yet.

It was kind of the same as the first one, but with a bit less of the barfy teenage romance factor (it was still kind of there, but very muted since that girl isn't really in the story too much this time around).Some critics claim that they just threw stuff into the story, but they don't not really. It's hinted at, I think as far back as the first book.
My husband also read it after watching the movie...and he doesn't like to read. He liked it well enough that he wants to read the next one when it is out. If that says anything?
American Gods - 498 pagesI actually read the 10th anniversary edition which is apparently longer than the original.
Also I liked it a lot. It really made me think. Things in it made me laugh. Some things I kind of agreed with him on. I do recommend it, but if you are a strongly religious person, and get offended at people poking fun at religions...then I would stay away from this book.
Also, I didn't even realize that Jesus wasn't even mentioned in the book until I got to the appendix (he kept it out, but put afterwards so people could still read how he intended Shadow to meet Jesus).

I think that's one thing that's starting to slow me down. I've found lots of shows that interest me...AND the Olympics are always on now lol
